If you love traditional Vietnamese music, this show is designed for you! The show was happened earlier than A O show, Suong Som The Mist, which both are very popular recently. The best part of the show is the Dan Tranh performance by Hai Phuong. She is really a talent of Vietnam.

I really liked the show and so did my five friends. It was the performers first night in a new venue so there were some sound issues, but the performers were very talented and genuine. I could see the pride they had performing traditional songs and dances and I really enjoyed the show.

This is a unique culture show presented every 15th and 23rd of the month at the Saigon Opera House in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam. This is indeed a great event to experience firsthand the awesome culture of Vietnam people. We were lucky to be in Vietnam on 23rd and with nothing to do we bought the tickets to this... More

To those who tried to see the show on the 15th October: The cancellation is nothing to do with the organisers of the show but a nationwide directive that all "entertainment" be cancelled due to the death of General Guip. The General was second only to Ho Chi Minh in military importance being the mastermind behind the battle at Dien... More

We also turned up at the Opera for this (cancelled) Hon Viet show. Our preferred AO show wasn't on until the day we departed. But this one looked good too. Met by the director's English husband on the stairs who was extremely apologetic about the cancellation. He wasn't at liberty to say why the event had been cancelled but it... More

My husband and I were pleased when we realised that our last day in Saigon was on 15 October. We booked this show and planned the rest of our day around it. When we arrived at the theatre we were met on the steps by an English guy who informed us that the show had been cancelled. We asked why... More

The show is held twice per month (15 and 23) and luckly we were in Saigon exactly on 23 so we couldn’t miss it. We bought the tickets in the morning directly from the Opera’s ticket office and there were two options available: back seats for 600,000 dongs (30 USD as of August 2013) and 800,000 dongs (40 USD as...
