well worth a detour this building designed by Eiffel has been well kept and is a must if you are an architecture buff. The unavoidable row of souvenir shops on the front detract from the exeprience however.

Very interesting, very ornate french architecture and design, with the Cathedral opposite, a little piece of Paris in a somewhat manic motorcycle dominated city.

A beaux arts building, with lots of beautiful details intact. Be sure to note the phone booths converted into ATMs!

We stopped here as part of a tour. The history, architecture, and people watching is definitely worth a stop.

Well worth a visit, if only for a few minutes and to take the shots. I believe the French built this way back, when the demand for Post Offices on an utterly huge scale with absurd oppulence, was unparralled. Go figure .. ! Right in midddle of town - virtually opposite the Notre Dame Cathedral

As my guide book stated, the Post Office is one of the few surviving offices where sending a letter or a postcard is still an art. The building makes you want to use your best handwriting. :-) Well worth a visit on a walking tour of the Cholon area.

If you are visiting the Notre Dame Cathedral, you might as well stopped in this building. The height of the ceiling and the ornate flooring of this architecture are both very interesting. The gift shops on both sides of the building are also interesting to visit. Going through this building will take about 20-30 minutes.

We spent an hour writing postcards under the fans. The beautiful architecture reminded us of french train stations in Paris.

French design with a hugh clock, inside glass canopy, huge ceilings and a giant portrait of Ho Chi Minh. Besides the mail, there old red telephone booths, painted maps on the wall, shopping for souvenirs, great big post office.
