I bought a Crumpler messenger bag for $25 USD. It looked pretty authentic and I really don't believe that it is a fake at all. The booth selling my bag refused to bargain on anything and I don't think I was able to bargain anywhere else, or maybe I'm just a sucked. They used a computer pos machine so I... More

Probably the best place to shop for bargains in HCMC, plenty of variety in the way of clothes with all the tops brands. Sunglasses, jewellery, headphones as well as leather goods and shoes. Market is also air conditioned. Much better experience than Ben Thanh market and the people are less pushy and bargains are better value.

Saigon Square 1 is definitely the better of the two at present as the whole top floor is closed at saigon 2, with escalators cordoned off so not much there. We went to both on a Saturday. There are heaps of things here to buy and to us the quality seemed higher than in Ben Thanh - so were the... More

There's 2 saigon squares in hcmc. One is older with more shops and one is more new with fewer shops. Went to both. They offer basically the same things - mostly dry goods (clothes, shoes, etc.) Vendors here are more decent in their pricing and they wont corner u into buying when ur checking their items for sale.

Almost always packed to the brim with both people and bargains, Saigon Square 1 is located at the corner of Nam Ky Khoi and Le Loi St - a mere 5-min stroll from Ben Thanh Market. While SS1 comprises of stalls spawning across 2 floors, most of the action were on L1. You can find a ton of products here... More

Believed most of you know that shopping in HCM you will need to bargain! (Not in malls) I just bought Jack Wolfskin and Deuter backpacks with total USD 69! Which is pretty cheap! Cz its authentic, we are very lucky. Tell them your best price and start bargaining like cha-cha dancing. You may walk away if you are not okay... More

Four teenagers shopped til they dropped. Nike apparel and shoes, mango, esprit, abercrombie and fitch, Victoria's Secret, beats bros, Bose, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein - cheap and fun. Some stores are not very negotiable. Air conditioned which is great in the heat.

This shopping centre is across the road and down one block from main markets. Heaps of northface jackets, bags, shorts. The prices are very cheap, but are not genuine, you get what you pay for, I'm sure the items will keep you warm in any normal winter condition. I wouldn't climb Everest with it. If your travelling to Hanoi, better... More

We preferred Saigon Square to the big and daunting Ben Tahn market. The sellers weren't hassling us and the quality of products was good. We picked up a North Face jacket for 700,000 Dong. Definitely barter with the sellers. There was loads of Nike, New Balance, and lace dresses and tops too.
