Check out Saigon Square for shopping, much better than the market in our opinion! More civilized without the constant pressure from sellers. AGAIN I WOULD WARN UNSUSPECTING TRAVELLERS TO WATCH OUT FOR MR CHAM A CYCLO DRIVER, HIS CYCLO NUMBER IS BTX979C HE IS A RUTHLESS SCAM MERCHANT. He and his partner? stood over us until we parted with 500,000... More

This is the Saigon version of Platinum Mall/Pratunam in Bangkok, smaller in scale but similar. It's more of a market place than a mall. Selling there are mostly fashion stuff (clothing, shoes) for all women, men, boys & girls. Bargaining is allowed, in fact a must and the walk away tactic works all the time :P It's air-conditioned tho not... More

Not every country has a place like Saigon Square, this place really offers items with reasonable quality and a cheap price, bargain is a must! I enjoy the process of bargaining and most of the stall keepers are friendly enough, well not all of them are friendly of course. Most of the time I buy cardigans, shirts, jeans, hand bags... More

This is a wonderful market and my preference as compared to the nearby and larger Ben Thanh markets. The quality of goods is top notch, and no arm grabbing and hectoring from vendors. Designer shorts, bags and bric a brac are all here. Not much bartering but the prices are excellent. Go there. You wont be disappointed!

You can bargain with the sales staff and they have everything from clothes, bags, watches, luggages and shoes. One tip though, always inspect the things you buy before you bring them home. E.g. shirts or blouses may have little damages like holes. But I had fun, visiting it 4 times.

I love going to this place. Very close to the Ben Thanh market with similar items BUT with AIR CONDITIONING. High quality "North face" and "Deuter"(and similar) items. Clothing, watches, pens, wallets, bags etc. Haggle, haggle, haggle. Plenty of bargains. A smile will make more of a difference than raising your voice. You can always spot a newbie.

The people is so rude and inefficient there, they don't care if you like something they are not going to help you! I found the same staff in Cambodia for half price and the people were much better and friendly in Cambodia! The night market in Saigon is much cheaper but the people is rude too!

Was suprised to find out from a local friend that there are in fact TWO saigon squares! One is newer and air conditioned but the old one isn't. Go to saigon 1 because the things sold are exactly the same as saigon 2 but only cheaper. Had a fun time bargaining for the price I want. You can get lots... More

Saigon Square is a 3 level indoor air conditioned mall of stalls where the sellers are relaxed, polite & let you be to walk through, browse and have a look. Complete opposite to the crap Ben Thanh market that gets recommended to all the tourists. The prices are not jacked up here & ended up buying a fair bit from... More
