This is a nice little local park for an evening walk with several places, where locals dance classic dancing. In addition to this local student approach foreigners to train their English, and this is a very interesting way to learn about the city, the people, and the country. Though only sparsely lit, it is very safe and cosy.

This park is a joy to visit in the early morning when it is used extensively by the locals before the heat sets in for the day. When we were there we saw people doing a salsa class, badmington, yoga, exercise classes, footsal, volleyball and a group of new army recruits practicing their marching, as well as lots and lots... My sister and I stayed at The Dragon Palace Hotel which is just a short walk to the Park. From the rooftop restaurant we had a good view of the long park which spans from the Backpackers' Area to Ben Thanh Market at the far end. There are plenty of benches where you can pass time people watching or simply... More

If you're not a huge fan of bars but want to stay out and about at night, then a park may be one of your goto place. Ho Chi Minh has several parks. Fortunately, our hotel was just a few steps away from September 23 Park-this park. We came here hoping to feel the breeze and weren't disappointed. We walked... More

During the day, there are the tourists and the locals in the evening, who take full advantage of this park. An important habitat, though not always everything is as clean as Western critics would like.

23/9 park is located on Phạm Ngũ Lão near Bùi Viện & the main back packer area of Saigon. It extends for 3 blocks & is a popular place for sitting, playing badminton, people watching or taking the kids for a stroll. There is a playground for children here & the well aged, tall trees provide a shady haven away... More

I walked through this part in the middle of Saigon Central area and found it dirty and poorly maintained. The lakes and grass are full of trash and doesn't help that people park their motorbikes in it.

During my stay, I hang out here almost every evening after a tired walk around town. Sit at the bench and walking people passing by or enjoy look at the locals do their jogging, kids at the playground and the trees are wonderful. A good place to relax, unwind, good chat with friends and sometimes self reflection too.
