This is a nice little local park for an evening walk with several places, where locals dance classic dancing. In addition to this local student approach foreigners to train their English, and this is a very interesting way to learn about the city, the people, and the country. Though only sparsely lit, it is very safe and cosy.

I was surprised to read other reviewers' positive remarks on this park. It is little more than a traffic island. I learned in Hanoi that if you visit a park in a city in Vietnam early in the morning, you will see it in a different light from the day. So this morning at 05:00 I went to visit the... More

Come every Lunar New Year or Vietnam holidays, this place will be at it's best. You will see the whole park comes to live. One can experience Vietnam All-In-One. on normal days, it's a sleepy park.

During our stay there were every day music shows. Many people attended them and they made us more familiar to Vietnamese music. One day we stopped in the park and four students started talking to us in order to improve their English. It was one of the most true experiences in our whole trip.

I "stumbled" upon this park near Ben Thanh Market. As I walked through I had a teenager approach me asking if I spoke English and if he could practice with me. I'm a single woman traveler so by nature cautious but I ended up speaking with him and his friends for about an hour. Charming. Note that there are plenty... More

It's a free park and it's big enough for a workout run or to sit and relax and watch the busy life in Ho Chi Minh. You can find lots of student groups here , they often gather around foreigners to talk and practice English. It's good to help them to improve their English; however, beware of scam and pickpocket.... More

This park is a joy to visit in the early morning when it is used extensively by the locals before the heat sets in for the day. When we were there we saw people doing a salsa class, badmington, yoga, exercise classes, footsal, volleyball and a group of new army recruits practicing their marching, as well as lots and lots... My sister and I stayed at The Dragon Palace Hotel which is just a short walk to the Park. From the rooftop restaurant we had a good view of the long park which spans from the Backpackers' Area to Ben Thanh Market at the far end. There are plenty of benches where you can pass time people watching or simply... More
