We had a private guide to take us to Mekong. Everything was arranged by the hotel Liberty Central. An hour with minibus and then by boats into the jungle. Several stops at different interesting places like a brick factory and crafts. We were entertained with Vietnamese music and songs at one of our stops. For lunch we had to go... More

I booked this tour hoping to see a part of Vietnam that was not on my direct path. Went through viatours and was not disappointed. We were picked up at our hotel at 6:30a.m. The group was 12 and just the right size. It did take us two hours by van to get to the delta. Made a stop along... More

Tour bus picked us up at our hotel and then spent almost an hour going through picking up other tourists. In some ways, this was an additional part of the tour as you could see the variety of neighborhoods and their different activity levels but it did take some time to get everyone. I still marvel at these bus drivers... More

Its says "mekong delta 1 day tour" but you are not even on the river for half an hour... Very dissappoiting. They try to sell you things all the time, its so irritating. The food was okay, but you can eat somewhere Else. If you want to discover the Mekong delta, dont do this trip!

A very enjoyable day, river cruise was very relaxing, lunch unusual but delicious, I wpuld recommend the coconut candy. Our guide Hieu was very patient with us as we shopped in many different markets and stopped to take photos of the beautiful scenery.A few days later Hieu took us back to Mekong Delta where we enjoyed a meal cooked for... Picked up 45 minutes late with no reason but our guide was quite good (slept on way back). Good place for toilet stop on way and then onto boat. Went up river and around the corner to the 'floating market'. All I saw were a few more boats but no trading taking place anywhere. Then off to another place to... More

The tour was fantastic! It was such a cultural experience. We toured along the river and then we got into a small rowboat and went up some small canals where people lived. The canal boat was driven by a woman. She pointed out her house and her daughter. We ate lunch at a local family's house. The meal was great. We had... More

Its all very touristy but you are constantly doing things the whole day. If you have a spare day, I would recommend it. The scenery is interesting and was nice to cruise the lush canals. They were not overly pushy with trying to sell things, but the coconut candy is worth buying

We took a sanpan to the Island and I must admit getting off the boat was a little 'wobbly' as you 'walk the plank' but what an experience as we walked across the island - I loved it - even seeing the big spiders in their webs.We watched the candies being made and most of us bought some. I also... More
