Warmest greetings from the Vietnam Cookery! Established since 1999, we are the first and most professional Cookery Center in Vietnam, teaching Vietnamese gastronomy to Tourists and other professional visitors from all over the world. Years of having tirelessly worked to give you the best services have earned us the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, and we do appreciate your interest. Our courses are hands-on classes, with an introduction to the food culture of Vietnam, providing you with a memorable souvenir to bring home.About our location: Our school is located in the heart of Saigon, from our large terrace you will have an unique view of an area that real estate developers call the "Golden Triangle".On top of having a wonderful initiation on Vietnamese Gastronomy, you will have the opportunity to go back in history and spend time in one of the last colonial building still erected right downtown. This building has been built in 1930 by the French, and was to be the residence of the Saigonese Elite. It was the first concrete building in Asia, and the pride of its French architect. Unfortunately he made a typical "colonial" mistake: as many French buildings in France, the space under the roof was divided into small rooms for the servants. When the building was finished and the apartments put on sale, none of the rich Vietnamese accepted to live there, as in Asia the tradition is to have only your ancestors' altar or worshiped gods over your head, not servants!

I experienced the beginners session which included a trip to the market and would strongly recommend this option. It was a very relaxed day which lasted from 8.30 till around 13.00 the market visit was very interesting and the actual cooking great fun. This was a combination of demonstration and DIY and the balance was just right. The cooking school... More

First of all do not make lunch or dinner plans afterwards! There will be plenty to eat during this course. Our cooking stations were big and there is lots of staff. It is fun cooking without having to do the cleanup. We made several dishes and they also showed us how to make a couple other things (steamed rice with... More

Really easy half day that is split into market visit followed by learning to make and eat various dishes. You're taken through it step by step and even the worst cook gets to prepare a very tasty series of dishes.

Visited the center early January. Went along with girlfriend as she loves to cook Asian food. Chose a day that the recipes suited us as most days were seafood meals that didn't appeal to us,( you eat what you cook). Made the beef noodles soup, green spring rolls and sautéed chicken all great to eat and very filling. Forgot the... More

We spent a very interesting and productive morning with the Vietnam Cookery Centre starting with an hour long visit to the busy Ben Thanh market and then more than three hours in the Centre learning how to make a three-course meal and other condiments. There were only eight of us in the class so we got individual attention and lunch... More

My boyfriend and I attended the morning cooking class with market visit during our stay in Saigon. The tour around ben thanh market was very interesting - seeing another side of the market and finding out about the huge variety of fruit, veg, herbs etc that we don't usually see in England. We then went to the cookery centre which... More

Last Thursday i had my first class at the Vietnam cookery center and i was very pleased with it ! I'm a quarter vietnamese, love vietnamese food, but never really dedicated time to learn it. However this class really made me want to learn more as my result turn out to be pretty impressive. This thanks to Chef BAO, who's... More

Our family signed up for the class ... Loved the stroll through the market identifying all kinds of eatable items never seen before and then we cooked 4 or 5 items ... All very tasty. It was an extra bonus to meet other travels and hear about their adventures. Well worth the time!

Went there for a few lessons, friendly staff, made you feel at home. I missed the market tour which was a great pity as friends told me it was a great experience but the cooking was great. Loved the fact that they had the recipes in book form and not just pieces of paper.Great help. The food that I cooked... More

We spent the morning here and so glad we did! Cam was amazing and such a good host. Mr. Thien was our chef and was a lot of fun the learn from. We were the only two people as it was low tourist season but that made it even more fun for us. I still think it would have been... More
