We love experiencing local culture wherever we go. This is a great experience to something I've seen elsewhere in the world. Touristy, but quite special and very affordable.

I saw this recommended as "punch & Judy" in water and that is pretty accurate. It is not terribly exciting in this day of special effects, etc. but if viewed as a folk art then it is a unique entertainment. It is mobbed by tour groups so arrive early.

Other than a brief introduction in English, the entire play was in Vietnamese, so we really couldn't follow the story. Regardless, we enjoyed the show. Entry was 180,000 dong (about $8 USD) and we considered it well worth that price.

Even though I had an outside end seat, it was style a very good view of the show. I had no idea what to expect, it was delightful! The theater fills quickly, the show was a fast 50 minutes. The live music, singing and sound effects and puppet operation was great to watch. It's like nothing I had ever seen... More

Although we got a slightly wet during the show it was still really good fun. So, whoever's planning to go to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam must go and see it, because there's so much fun!

The puppets are amazing and worth going to see while you're in town. It is all in Vietnamese there is no translation so the story line was ? Was still worth going for a look very talented operators. The puppets are visually pretty and interesting but this is a place for young families. There are kids everywhere, and as such, doesn't make for a positive experience as a solo traveler. It's only 50 minutes in length but I would suggest there are better places to spend your money in Saigon

A very nice way to start an evening. Although it is impossible to tell what is going on, the frequent outbursts of laughter show it must be fun if you understand! Highly worth seeing just for the performance, the music and musicians, and the amazing Vietnamese singing.
