This was one memorable show I can't forget. The puppets dance on a pool of water with melodious tunes played by traditional Vietnamese orchestra in the background. The sound of bells, drums, gongs and flutes create a mesmerizing environment. Don't forget to buy the miniature puppets from there.

This was a fun experience because it was entertaining and very different. It was all said in Vietnamese (obviously) but we were still able to understand the story line. It had live music with traditional Vietnamese instruments. The weather in Ho Chi Minh was so hot that it was really nice to be in a dark theater with air con.... More

Very amusing and cleverly done. Music and sounds were all by live performers who were excellent. Even though we had no idea what they were saying, it all went seamlessly well and you could sit back and enjoy it. If you have kids they'd love it and they usually seat them close to or at the front rows. Having said... More

Water puppetry said to have originated in Northern Vietnam and was brought to Ho Chi Minh city by refugees when the country was split into two. The show itself is impressive - the puppets are being controlled from the back (or is it underwater), with the water hiding the control mechanisms. The puppet masters are very skillful and talented, as... More

The puppets are nice but the show is boring as it is only in Vietnamese. We understood that the show is about the Vietnamese way of life, fishing, rice plantation, etc. 45 minutes was too much.

My partner suggested we go. I wasn't sure what to expect, although it was all in Vietnamese, it was easy to grasp what was happening. The way in which the water puppets are made to move is amazing! Well worth the visit, for a few pence more, get front row seats!
