Well after seeing this show, we made the decision that we really arent into watching forced "cultural shows". It was great for the first 5 mins, but really thats all you need to see of it. Had the chance to see them in Hanoi also, but decided to pass. Plenty of other things to see and do instead. Watching the... More

I did have to drag Peter along but I think he laughed the loudest. I sat enthralled still unsure of how they achieved what they did. Very reasonable fee of $8 US Only a short show but well worth the time luckily only a short walk from our hotel We are now about to head out to tbe night markets

Not bad. Interesting for first timers. The sound effects and casts involved in the puppet show did their part to make it pleasing to viewers. Although the seats are old and has cockroach near the stage, it was worth the try.

While I understand the significance of this show to the people of Vietnam and a brief explanation of the semblance of this show was given to us by our driver so we had a brief insight into what it represented, the introduction was too brief and the program only outlined the various parts of the show with no explanation leaving... I have a weakness for water puppet shows, maybe it's the music, maybe the magic, and the show we saw at Thao Dien was really good.

This is a well done puppet show staged by talented musicians and puppeteers. It runs for 45 minutes and is broken down into many small sections that each have their own story line, and is often humorous at times. The water puppets are very interesting and clever, however, I did find that towards the end, it lost its excitement a... More

The theatre is packed most times with locals.they enjoyed the show more than me. Whilst it is interesting , depicting rural life etc in Vietnam,I found it a little boring. The show is set in a large pool with the puppeteers behind a scene screen. Seems to go on forever with different forms of lifestyle being depicted.the finale shows all... More

I enjoyed the way the marionettes, acted and danced! Very realistic but the lighting was a bit too dim...even after the members who handled the show made their entrance and greeted the Audience!
