This Lenin statue in a park at Nguyen Thai Hoc avenue is one of the few remains I saw of a recent communist past here in Vietnam.

Now it seems Sony neon advertising are prefered to those old sovietic symbols... the signs of the times!

I noticed the statue on my way to the flag tower. I risked my life to get across that street all on the hope of getting a nice photo with the great leader for my collection. Unless you enjoy photographing these types of work you may not get as excited as I was. Who can resist having a photo with... More

Well, what do you want to see on a visit to a big foreign capital? For me, the small park around the Lenin statue is one of my favourite places in the city and I have visited it many times. There is always some aspect of the local's lives on display, particularly at the weekends. There is football, skateboarding, badminton,... More

Just across the street from the other attractions, so go over and take your photos. The park is another of the green spaces that dot central HaNoi, and the paved space in front of the statue is usually busy with exercisers, kids playing, and sometimes street performers. Probably not worth a visit by itself, but it is convenient to lots... More

As city is very busy and not spacious overall, Lenin statue and park is nice place where You can just sit down and relax a little. As Lenin statues are becoming more unique in world, then its worth to visit

Lovely park with a large statue of Lenin, the area is a local haven, resting, skating, picnics and all the local kids playing. Nice for a sit and watch the action.

You can't miss this statue, over the road from the Military museum. A great place for skateboarders and time to reflect on the soviet history....

The ode to Comrade Lenin (in the form of a towering statue) is located in a smallish, well-maintained triangular city park across the street from the Military Museum and the landmark Flag Tower of the Old Citadel, so it is an easy spot to see if you're visiting these attractions. It is a popular place for locals, and you can... More

A nice little park to watch locals, older people playing chess; younger people playing skaterboard, bicycles; kids playing mini car/bike. Came during new year afternoon, and the place was decorated with flowers and people were dressed up nicely for photos here. Nice place to past the time

We didn't intend to visit the statue, and it's not really worth wandering out of your way for, however if you are going between the HL Prison and Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, then you'll come across it on the way. When we passed there was nobody in the park except for the local skater boys using Lenin and his surroundings... More
