We booked 3 days, 2 nights aboard Pelican1. All in all it has been a great experience in an overwhelming environment. Everything wirkend very well, particularly the friendly and competent staff, the outstanding level of the kitchen staff and the well balanced day programmes. The cabins were spacious and clean with bathrooms that can compete with hotels ashore. The only... More

We booked Pelican Cruise through Brilliant Halong Cruises and stayed at Royal Suite cabin balcony and double cabin on upper deck, promised to keep 2 adjacent cabins and it was definitely trusted us when we got on board. The cruise team was helpful and attentive. Our cabin were lovely and spacious , they got great view of the Bay and... More

We booked Pelican Cruises (because our first choice was unavailable - think it was called Indochina Sails). I think they are all pretty much the same but Pelican was good because the boats are only a year old....and apparently some of the other boats need some TLC. My advice would be to get as nice a room as you want... More

I can't fault Pelican Cruises. When we were looking for a cruise and even after we booked Pelican I found it hard to find reviews on Pelican Cruises. This is such a pity because it was fantastic. We spent 2 nights and 3 days on the boat and enjoyed every minute. It is one of those things that you absolutely... More

Booked our Halong Bay trip direct with Pelican Cruises. We went for 2 days 1 night , included was pickup from hotel in Hanoi and return ( it was a 4 hr ride in minibus, short break in middle and not that bad). Arrived at harbour and a short boat trip to our boat. The boat was more than we... More

Just finished this cruise and we have been quite impressed by the staff and facilities on this cruise. Some points to note for future travellers; The weather in this area this time of year (Feb/March) is variable which effects the cruise due to heavy fog, the bay itself is extremely polluted so swimming is a no no, the drive to... Booked the 2D/1N cruise through the Hanoi Elegance Diamond Hotel. It cost 155 USD p/p and incl. pickup and drop-off at our hotel in Hanoi. The cruise is only a year or two or old and looks much newer than some of the operators. The staff were all lovely and happy to help. The food was exceptional; a 5-COURSE dinner.... More

We did a one night cruise and it was great, cabins were beautiful and shower was very good. Food was very nice, lots of choice. My only slight complaint was the drinks are pretty expensive so take full advantage of happy hour! The staff are very friendly, We didn't enjoy Surprise cave, it was so busy but our slight headache... More

We were happy we went with pelican when we saw ther other boats while out on the water. You do get what you pay for. We were on Pelican 1. The rooms were spacious given that we were on a boat. I was surprised that we had enough hot water to shower- we found that sometimes at hotels it could... More
