All shopping in the Old Quarter is made easy by having shops selling the same products in the one street. Do not be afraid of bargaining!!! but do smile & be polite!!

Some wonderful dressmakers in this street, as well as high fashion (well high fashion for Hanoi anyway), silk shops, handbags, shoes, jewellery and a couple of pretty good art galleries.
My special dressmaker (for the past 9 years) - Mrs Van at Cu Thanh (60 Hang Gai Street) makes up wonderful clothes - both Western and Asian styles.

This is the main drag of the tourist Old Quarter. It is fun to walk the 2nd and later times- the first time it is quite scary with all the traffic that does not heed the stop lights. There are many side streets more interesting to walk.
