The food we prepared was fantastic - we learned how easy Vietnamese food can be to prepare. With an educational jaunt to the nearby market, our family of five (kids aged 10, 8, 7) enjoyed the 'drive-through' nature of the market and then preparation and cooking of great Vietnamese street food. Tracy and her gang were fantastic!

We signed up for a morning class and were firstly taken to the local market, great experience. Only 4 of us on the course which was fine, lots of hands on lessons in making four different dishes. We then got to sit down and enjoy the meal with wine or beer. Good instruction, nice professional setting, good company.

I attended the Hanoi Cooking Centre mainly because of the reviews on Trip Advisor, but to be fair there are so many in Hanoi that you could shop around. However, I thoroughly enjoyed myself and if we had more time on our trip, I would have definitely completed another. We met at the school and were treated to an ice... More

We went to the Hanoi cookery school early yesterday morning and had a four hour street food tour. It started with tea made from a plant that is burnt and tastes like liquorice sitting in a cool courtyard. We had pho at the first stall we went to. Pho is a soup eaten for breakfast with chicken or beef, stock,... More

My boyfriend and I signed up for this class through our hotel...there was another option too but I don't believe the timing worked for us. We had to take a taxi to the centre as it is a bit on the outskirts and when we arrived they gave us some weird tea, but I can't remember what it was made... More

I signed up for a cooking class cum market visit. I was the only person who signed up. Yet they went ahead with the class and assigned me a young girl who was an apprentice at the centre. She speaks good English and was very enthusiastic. The day before they had a big group. I was early and escorted into... More

We had the street food tour booked by the travel agent as part of our Hanoi visit, and it was a fabulous experience. Starting with tasting the Pho and the story of this dish, then a visit to the market and lots of insights on how Vietnamese people are buying their fresh food every morning, then a couple more stops... We did the street eats tour and there was just the two of us, with our guide. Starters of Pho Bo (located across the road from the Cooking Centre) really hit the spot. Our guide was affable and informative and took us on a tour of the markets that are also close by. His knowledge of the food, herbs, meat... More

I have thus far taken two street food tours in Hanoi (this was my 2nd). I found it to be less informative, less fun, and less food than my tour the previous night (Awesome Vietnam Food on Foot Tour for $25). Our guide was nice but was very young. He was not a chef (as purported in their website). He... More

Wonderful tour of the markets had the opportunity to try new food. The cooking class was very hands on and informative and we were also given other recipes to try at home. Thank you. Call them directly as the price was very reasonable.
