We were not sure about a 4hours ride each way to Halong Bay since we only had 1 day free. But it was a 110% great decision to do it. We spent 8 hours in a mini bus for a 6hrs ride through Halong bay. Halong in not one of the natural wonders of the world for nothing. More

We toured with Paradise Junks. It was pretty spectacular and well worth the money. Great food, really excellent service and wonderful views. One night wasn't enough. I would recommend two. Or better yet take a one night cruise and then head for Catba island on your own to explore more of the bay from there. More

It is a long ride from Hanoi to Halong bay but the tour was well organized and run efficiently.
