What an amazing time on-board these luxurious junks. The accomadations, the rooms are HUGE and the bathrooms are larger than most oceanliner staterooms! The food was delicious, the views incomparable and the available activities well organized and just plain fun. Went kayaking and hiking, swimming and squid-jigging. What a great time, great crew, great outfit. More

The three day Indochina Sails cruise through Halong Bay is well worth the extra money. The second day sees you transferred to a smaller "day boat", cruising through some more isloated and spectacularly beautiful bays and inlets. There are opportunities for swimming and kayaking, and you get up close and personal with a couple of smaller floating fishing villages. More

We stayed on the Indochina Sails Premium boat in a deluxe cabin on the 2nd Floor, doing the 3 day/2 night tour. Firstly, I really recommend doing 2 nights instead of 1 - the full day out is relaxing and interesting, and less 'touristy' than the 1 night tour. And don’t worry about sea sickness – the water in the... More

We chose Indochina Sails at the suggestion of our daughter, for a 2 night cruise - and we'll just say that everything was brilliant (helped by the fact that they knew we were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary, gave us the best cabin on the boat plus wine etc. etc.) The point of this story is how well they performed... We did the 3 day 2 nights trip with our 13 year old son on the junk Prince II. We received a call the night before to confirm pickup time, this was reassuring, though they were nearly half an hour late. It is a long 4 our drive to Halong Bay from Hanoi, they do stop halfway for about 20... More

We did the 3D/2N cruise. We had the "deluxe" room which had a small balcony, unfortunately to small to sit on though. The room was very nicely decorated and the beds were good. It's hard to rate the food, I guess it's the denominator in food. The result is quite tasteless food with lots of sauces. I guess they have... More

Indochina Sails did a great job. The boat was in good condition with a lovely, clean room and plenty of hot water in the shower, which was key after kayaking in the bay. Food wasn't 5-star, but it was hot and satisfying. Cruise director and staff provided excellent service--up until the end of the cruise when we walked off the... More

We visited beautiful Halong Bay in early March. Even though the weather was cool and rainy, it was still magical and breathtakingly gorgeous. We were originally scheduled to be on the Valentine, but due to it being grounded for a paint job, we were put on the Indochina Sails 3 junk boat. Unfortunately all of the beautiful wooden boats on... More

We went on the 2 days/1 night cruise on an Indochina Sails junk. The junk was spacious and well decorated. Our room was quite large as was the bathroom. The bed was huge and as it was our honeymoon they had decorated it with rose petals and chocolate and given us a complimentary bottle of wine which was a lovely... More

We took the 2 day/1 night cruise booked by our overland agent who had informed the company that we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary on this holiday. The trip runs for approximately 22 hours from around 1pm to 11am. We were upgraded to one of the upper deck cabins which had a 6 foot bed, just enough space to... More
