We went on a 2 day cruise around Halong Bay. The boat was QN3898. No where can I find any internal pictures like the cabin we stayed in. Although just about adequate for 1night I expected something better after viewing all the cabins on line for various boats of theirs. I feel to have been mislead. There was just room... More

Our family of 4 took an overnight cruise in Halong Bay. Beautiful scenery, mostly terrific food, fine service. We had a great time. The rooms were simple and comfy and the scenery was undeniably amazing. Two caveats: the scheduled activities (cave, beach, hidden lagoon) were a bit rushed and definitely exactly what all the other tourists were doing (but still... More

We booked a 3 day 2 night cruise through Best Price Vietnam bookings and chose the Victory Star ship which we were very happy with. We spent the 30th and 31st on Halong Bay and found both the staff and boat great. The cabin was roomy with a double bed and large bathroom, as well as a private balcony and... More

A tour in Halong Bay that was marketed as an « off the beaten path » one, which turned out to be a regular tourist trap. We went to overcroded caves, we had totally incompetent guides and we spent most of our time on the boat because there was no seriously planned activity. The time for swimming was also reduced... My Family of five took the two day one night trip. On arrival at the port we we're meet by the boats tour guide. Luggage was taken and we were sent off to cafe while the bags were loaded.Nice room and balcony for the price. Would recommend this cruise if you visit Ha Long bay. Food was traditional Vietnamese. Great... More

We loved our overnight trip on this boat! The cabin was beautiful and we didn't have a suite. The balcony is very small but nice to get air in. The staff were nice but it's true they don't speak much English. However, the manager (I believe) does speak English and walks around all the time making sure everything is alright.... More

Arrived on board, lovely big cabin with spa - suite 3. Nice seafood lunch. Poor or no English spoken by staff led to much confusion re tour to grotto. Hundreds of stairs , not suited for the frail! News of a typhoon sent staff in a panic . Rushed dinner then disembarked passengers to the shore, strange cause was very... More

I can't understand the negative comments by some reviewers. From the moment we stepped on board the crew could not do enough for us. Our cabin was spacious , comfortable and clean. An hour after we went on board we were treated to a lavish five course lunch - with outstanding food, beautifully served. We were on the Victory Star.... More

Some comments about the Victory Star are inappropriate. I can understand than cabin 117 is noisy but it's not just because is noisy... it's more because it's the very cheap cabine. it's like every where in this planet and every company, if you want the more cheap with the maximum of comfort, don't dream... it 's impossible, you need to... We spent two nights on the junk and it was a terrific experience. Our photo group chartered the whole boat. Our room with 2 single beds was small but much larger than I was expecting and the shower a full size, quite unexpected. The food was outstanding. The chef deserves a star of his own for providing such wonderfully delicious... More
