Guides are uninterested and inattentive

Halong Bay: spectacular and we were fortunate enough to have great, clear weather - a must see when in Vietnam!!

Halong Bay is certainly one of the most spectacular sights in Vietnam and the Phoenix Cruiser was a decent way to do it. When it comes to Halong Bay, you have anything from budget to luxury options and this is somewhere in the middle. Read and heard some real horror stories but even the manager at hotel we stayed recommended this junk. It's cheaper because it sleeps more people than some of the other boats (36 I think) but has a high standard.

We spent 2 nights on Halong Phoenix Cruisers. We have no complaints regards the boat, the cabin (except that the air con was only available between 5pm to 7am), the staff or the meals but we were very disappointed with the itinerary.

We joined this agency upon a recommendation by a friend who's used them before. We opted for the day trip. very prompt service during the booking process, they were diligent in following up when we neglected to confirm after enquiring.
