This was by far the best tour I have ever had in a foreign country. The students, Lindsay and Nguyen had a great passion about their city and there knowledge was incredible. They took us to our chosen tourist sights on hanoi as well as taught us about the local way or life and traditional values. They encouraged us to... More

Went on a half-day tour with Lucas and Zun, two university students in Hanoi. We went to the temple of literature and then to an out-of-the-way traditional ice cream shop. They were very knowledgeable and made for fun conversations. They do not accept any tips as they are a volunteer organization. Would do again!

Our group of three spent such a great day with our guides Phoenix and Moon. They were both so lovely and great hosts! It's great having a local take you around, you are able to gain many more insights and soak in Vietnam culture. We visited three places – Hoa Lo Prison, the Temple of Literature and also Bat Trang... I enjoyed every minute of my morning learning about Hanoi with Huyen. This customizable tour allows you to not only visit all the sights which intetest you but to do so in the company of a knowledgeable and energetic local student whose passion for the city and its history is contagious. Definitely take advantage of this incredible (and free other... More

We have just returned from an amazing time with the very lovely Linh who was the perfect guide around the Old Town. We were blown away by his extensive knowledge and attentiveness. Linh brought us to a number of places in the Old Town, including temples, old homes and more. He first took us to the White horse temple and... More

My husband and I took a tour with HanoiKids on our first day in Hanoi. We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent with this organization. Early communication via email was easy and they responded very quickly. We ended up booking several weeks in advance because we knew how popular the tour is. After looking forward to the tour for so long,... More

April and Trang were our awesome guides on a 1/2 day morning tour through Ho Chi Minh Complex. They not only answered all of our questions, but also helped appreciate the site's significance and understand the Vietnamese people's reverence for Ho Chi Minh. They exceeded our expectations as tour guides in and around the complex by recommending other places to... More

Setup an afternoon tour by emailing the group. The website was having problems before my visit, emailed about a week before the trip but was told I'd be wait listed. Got an email about 2 days before saying they could do the tour. They met us at the hotel to begin. We visited temple of literature, Ho Chi Minh mausoleum,... More

My friend and I did a half day tour with HanoiKids. The tour typically starts at 9 but I emailed them 2 days before and they were able to accommodate a 10 am start and the flexibility was appreciated. The girls were on time (even early actually) and great hosts! We walked around the Old and French quarter and they... More

Walking in the old quarter with the girls was really a fun and informative experience. Our visit to one of the oldest house in Hanoi was very interesting. We got to know basic set-up of old Vietnamese houses and saw a glimpse of Vietnam's past. From old kitchen to improvised organic shampoo and conditioners then to recommendations for coffee and...
