The tour of the Old Quarter was excellent. It was at our pace, with breaks for a drink and lunch at places that we would not have found on our own. We learned something of the history and culture of Vietnam. An excellent mornings tour with a very friendly guide who spoke very good english.

We were wait listed, but like many others, ended up getting a tour at the requested day and time. Brian and Hoang were friendly, knowledgable guides. I was surprised and impressed to learn that all the volunteer tour guides must sit and pass an exam about Hanoi's history and culture (and, I assume, English speaking ability)before they may join the... I just got back home from Vietnam a couple days ago and thanks to Hanoi Kids, Hanoi was one of the trip's highlights, we liked them so much that we went with them twice in one week the first time with Vu and Tong we went to the ethnographic museum, to lunch and to the famous egg coffee shop. The... More

We spent four hours touring the Old Quarter with a couple of very cute, interesting girls from Hanoi Kids - April and Dori. They met us on time in the lobby of our hotel and took us on a walking tour. When doing a personalized tour like this there is a lot of shared communication about their life in Hanoi... More

Our family of four (two adults, a 13 year old and a 10 year old) did two half day tours with Hanoi Kids and we can't say enough good things about the experience and about our wonderful hosts - Zung and Tong our first morning in Hanoi, and Tai and Khiem for another half day tour a few days later.... Book this at least a couple of weeks befor you arrive, preferably earlier. The first thing they will tach you is to cross the road - very important. We loved our tour with Tong and Khiem and they just took us where we wanted to go then suggested some other places. Should have booked them for our first day but... More

I'm a bit late writing this review - we took a full day tour with Tung and Nam back in October, on our second day in Vietnam/Hanoi. I would recommend it to anyone visiting the wonderful city that is Hanoi - it's a great (if not the best) way to discover the city and meet young, passionate, knowledgeable and friendly... More

We took the 1/2 day tour and really enjoyed ourselves We just wanted to walk around and talk with them. They are very forthcoming about themselves and their English was very good and could grasp the different concepts. We learn alot about the culture that morning. We took them out for lunch at a restaurant of their liking. We like... More

We had a great experience with our friendly and knowledgable tour guide, Thang, a university student. He was flexible with our short notice and a delight to be with. We chose to go to Ho Chi Minh's Complex and the Temple of Literature and learned much that we would not have known had we been by ourselves. Later we went... More
