We had these 2 ladies - Du'Ong and Ly, who picked us up on 18 Dec at 2 pm in Golden Sun Suites. They brought us to the Museum of Ethnology, after discussing with us about what we wanted to visit. They were patient and helpful in explaining to us about the various ethnic groups. They were enthusiastic and eager... More

I was skeptical at first after travelling around South East Asia for 3 months thinking there must be a catch or a scam. I was so wrong! This is real deal and you feel like you rip them off. You get a genuine experience with local uni students who just want to give you a good time and show you... More

We spent our first full day in Hanoi with Lien and Nhat, two delightful young women who were genuinely passionate about their city and their culture. Both girls were articulate, they had a very good understanding of English and were fun to be with. Completing everyday tasks such as crossing the road, finding the bank and personally meeting up with... More

When you visit a new place having a 'local' to show you around makes a big difference to how much of the real culture you see of a location. I had the joy of spending two afternoon/evenings with Quyen; one of the nicest people you could meet. She was really welcoming and informative on the culture of the Vietnamese people.... More

Our time spent with our guides was fantastic, we did the street food tour, went to the Temple of Literature and to Ben Long Bridge on two separate tours. Ritz, Lee and Ted were great with lots of knowledge and fun to be with. I wholeheartedly recommend booking your tour. Hanoikids is a great organization. Perfect for getting know both... More

We recently travelled to Vietnam for the 1st time on an organised private tour itinerary. We visited 5 cities so we experienced quite a bit of what Vietnam had to offer in a short time. Whilst we enjoyed everything we did, the highlight was something we found & organised ourselves..the HanoiKids Club. We booked a half day tour of the... More

What a great way to see Hanoi! We did a half day tour and were shown fascinating hole in the wall places that we would never would have found ourselves. The two volunteers (they refer to themselves as travel mates rather than guides) were fun, friendly and spoke excellent English. They were flexible with the itinerary and we really felt... More

We booked a half day tour on our first morning in Hanoi. Two guides were with our family of four. They will vary the tour according to what you want and we enjoyed seeing each place we visited, but more than anything we enjoyed talking with the guides about Vietnamese culture, education and life. This first day tour will be... More

I'd read the reviews on TA and the tours totally live up to their excellent critiques! Book as far in advance as possible, tours fill up early, especially day tours during the school year. The application forms and communication with Hanoikids is simple, straight-forward, and wonderfully informative. They will get back to you within 48 hours with a yay or... More

We did HanoiKids because we had a free day on our last day in Hanoi. Should have booked this first! We had so much fun as Tung toured us around the Women's museum, French quarter and around the lake. Tung is so knowledgable, witty and funny! He speaks very good english and showed us some of the his favorite restaurants.... More
