My partner and I spent a day with Hanoikids at the end of November and it was the best day we spent in Hanoi! We had 2 guides (male and female) who were university students - and very smart ones at that. Both spoke excellent English and no trouble with communication. They asked us where we would like to visit but... more

I have visited Hanoi in November, and have asked from Hanoikids to guide me in the city for my first day there. It was the best idea that I could have ever have. The girl came to the hotel exactly at the time pre arranged be e-mail. Her name was Thao (I am really sorry if I am confusing her... more

we had a relatively young guy - phuong, arrive promptly at our hotel. He seemed to not be sure of where to go, didnt really explain how they operate etc. Before we knew it, we were on our way to the Literature Museum. Phuong gave us an excellent tour of the museum, and he was keen to discuss vietnamese culture... more

Having a member of the hanoikids take you around the city is a great experience. You not only get to see the sights, you get personal insights on how they view the city. Our guide Ngan was great as she took us to the Ho Chi Minh Complex, Temple of Literature and the Museum of Ethnology. We shared with her... more

We had a lovely half day tour with the Hanoi Kids! We had hoped to go off the beaten track but that's not really how it works. It was great to have some local knowledge when visiting some of the sights but don't expect them to be able to bargain with taxis for you - worth still doing that yourself... more

I took a half-day tour with a student from HanoiKids during a business trip in October. I found the whole thing fascinating, including the opportunity to speak to a local person about living in Vietnam as we went around the sights. The best bit was probably the lunch because I was really keen to try lots of local food, so... more

We had a packed two and a half-day itinerary to take advantage of the Deepavali long weekend. A day and a half was dedicated to visiting Halong Bay on board our private junk, the Nina Cruiser. The rest of our time was for Hanoi. Initially, we had contacted our hotel to help arrange a tour for us but they could... more

I am not generally a fan of guided tours as I like to explore things myself but contacted HanoiKids by email as I thought it would be fun way to start our trip and it was. The two girls who were our guides, Tracey and Van, were knowledgeable, fun and very accommodating, even with the two small, tired children in... more

Hanoikids is a volunteer guide club offering tours to tourist in Hanoi for free. We booked a tour with them for our first day in Hanoi. Our tour guides (there were two them) were really really good. Better than professional tour guides in my humble opinion. They have mountains of knowledge about Vietnam's culture and history and the various tourist... more

My husband and I were in Hanoi for 4 days August 2009. We started the trip with a half day tour and a full day tour with the Hanoi Kids - and it was an amazing experience. We had a team of two on our first day, and a different 'HK' on the second day. All of them were awesome.... more
