A marvelous cruise on a beautiful boat with a great team. Thanks a lot for the great time we've shared together!
The trip to the harbour to board the V'Spirit Cruise was a gruelling bumpy 3.5 hour journey in heavy drizzle, with a welcome interval break at a handicapped centre where beautiful artistic lacquer ware, stone crafts, embroidered paintings and beautiful Vietnamese paintings were made in full view. As the tour guide had described it, the road there was like a... More
I did a day trip to halong bay because I didn´t have time to stay overnight on a cruise. It took almost 5 hours from Hanoi because there was some construction work on the road. Despite the tiring trip I was excited about seeing ans UNESCO World Heritage site but maybe I was epecting too much. The islands were beautiful... More
My wife and I spent our 30th Wedding anniversary on the Paradise Peak junk cruising around Halong bay. It certainly made top 10 on our experiences list. But what made it faultless was the crew on the Paradise Peak nothing was too much trouble the service was beyond 5 stars the crew are a credit to their company. There was... More
We had a wonderful trip to Halong Bay. We were a little unfortunate that the weather wasn't too great and so the view of the magnificent rocks was hazy. But the Surprise Caves were stupendous and must not be missed.

But the thing that amazed me is just how dirty the water is - you wouldn't swim in it if your life depended on it! Still, it is a wonder of the world and should be seen by... More

There are way too many boats, and this is obvious when your captain decides to stop at one of the more popular places, such as the caves. Even though there were only... More
Very beautiful island and rock formations, although marred a bit by the overcast conditions and polluted water. I was especially awed by the large grotto we visited, despite climbing nearly 100 steps to reach it. The drive from Hanoi was a bit grueling, mostly on a two-lane highway, but overall, I'm glad I made the trip.
If you can cope with the 8hr drive in total- the 4 hrs spent at Halong Bay are well worth it! A beautiful place and very scenic. If you can spend a couple of days then do it but if time is short, like it was for us, the one day trip is a must. Lunch on the boat is... More
