We booked an overnight cruise with GoTravel. The experience was fun overall. I made the arrangement online and made the payment in their office at the Old Quarter. We had several activities while on the cruise, which are probably the same as most of the cruises offered in Ha Long Bay -- kayaking, cave tour, ti top island, squid fishing... More

Ha Long Bay is a must see... Tours almost everywhere from Hanoi includes all meals not drinks.....canoe into small village in Ha Long Bay see how the locals live and then a night on the junks and next day stopover at a massive cave. All inclusive in the tour. Great value for money

We booked a two days trip from Buffalo Tour and they recommended the newly furbished L'Azalee Cruise, which I enjoy a lot. Buffalo Tour arranged for pick up from our hotel and the road trip from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay took almost 4 hours. L'Azalee Cruise can accommodate total 24 customers at any one time. However, when we were... More

I visited Ha Long Bay by cruise ship. If you do so, when you arrive at the pier, walk left. There is a travel agency that I am sure you can book your cruise to see the cave that Ha Long is famous for. Unfortunately, I do not know the name of this agency, but you can be assured it... More

We recently spent 2 nights on board the Ginger Junk on a cruise around Ha Long Bay. The road trip from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay took approximately 3:30 hours with some major road widening going on when you're approaching Ha Long. The Ginger Junk's a fairly small boat with 10 cabins and we checked into a regular room as... More

The actual place is amazing and worth a visit BUT be aware : 1. do not book online before you go, wait until you are in Vietnam and then go to one of the many shops selling the tours. The reason being you could end up paying more than the people sitting next to you. Example: one lady paid 200... More

6 sisters met up (from all over the world), together with 2 beautiful daughters & a sister-in-law and had a lovely, enjoyable & memorable time in Ha Long Bay!! 2 days 1 night on a cruise ship was really worth the awesome experience. I never liked cruises as i will get sea sick, giddiness and vomitting, but this is totally... More

When you go to the webpage cristinacruise.com and see the boat you think it's a bargain. 105$-we got it for 95 The boat on the pictures is not the boat you actually get. It is not even close. It's like seeing a Bentley and then in fact getting a Yugo. Filthy, old, ugly, food extremely bad. It is supposed to be 3star,it's maybe... More

Spent 2 days 1 night cruising with Indochina Sails, on this World Heritage site and it was awesome. A surreal and magical place in the mist. Visited several Islands (one with 300 steps to the top) grottos and the floating villages. Only let down by the ammount of man made litter and rubbish in the water. Day 2 was my... More

Ha long bay is 4 hours away from Hanoi. You can get a glimpse of the bay on a day trip but if you can spend a night on a junk you get the whole experience. The bay is incredible with its 2,000 and more rock formations jutting from the water. The water is jade-colored and this last time it... More
