There is so much to be seen in this lovey town, from the flower festivals, the building restorations, the local markets and artisans not to mention the friendly people and varieties of wonderful food. I would highly recommend a visit if you are passing through Vietnam

Dalat is a very picturesque town, the lake is part of the reason why. Because DLat is so cool it's perfect for walking. We walk around the lake every day and it's 5km. Takes around an hour non stop but we always stop at Bich Cau cafe at the top end. It's a perfect halfway stop for an ice coffee.

If you forget about all the 'downies' of a lake that is right in the heaving city center, you can come and stroll around in the evening to calm down before you head over for an evening drink or you can just simply come along for a short walk after dinner at one of the nearby restaurants. Big lake in the city centre. Good place to rest while you are waiting for the night fall and the Night market to start because this lake is right beside the Night Market.

The lake provides a good focal point for the town and, for me at least, is a valuable land mark when I get lost on my wanderings. Interesting to know also that it is man made, and leaves me wondering if they used machinery or maybe dug it out by hand. Either way it must have been a lot of... More

The water is green, many dead fish and trash floating around. Sure was nice before all the construction going on

Excellent for walking around - bring raincoat! Beautiful flowers many places, fishing local people, don't forget to visit "Big C", market covered by stone, glass and stone.

An iconic place of the city. It's kept clean, I like it! the coffee shops around the lake are awesome! However there is no comparison of this lake to lakes in EU or America

We went for an early morning walk, starting off around 6am in a peaceful mist, watching it rise as we made the 8km round trip. We greeted many Vietnamese out for their morning exercise and everyone was very happy and friendly. I took lots of photos along the way - reflections on the water, the town in the distance from... I have not walked around the whole lake (from what I understand you can not) but have walked portions of the lake and is very relaxing to me, I love water. Have not rented any of the Paddle boats you can rent or gone to any of the two restaurants that sit right on the lake yet but it looks... More
