Not that much to see, huge complex of rivers and we travelled down a few narrow spots after the morning markets. Interesting to watch life on the river banks but was getting bored by the end of the day.

My daughter and I joined the New Red River Cruise following the previous weeks disaster. Pandaw cruising is an expensive adventure mostly for the older traveler. I have enjoyed the highs and lows of cruising with Pandaw. Being held to ransom on an early Mekong Cruise and having an unforgettable experience cruising the Irrawaddy. The Red River Cruise is a... This boutique Asian cruise has never failed me before- however, this particular cruise started off 'badly' and ended up with great disappointment The cyclones /heavy rains effected the boat’s itinerary- significantly.. First the Port authority ‘banned’ sailing on Halong Bay. When the cruise got the 'Green Light" to sail- rain started again- hence, it's attractions were a "no go" Than... More

It was probably a hundred degrees outside. You could light a fire by rubbing your hands. Water was brown. Boat was steady. Could not understand what the guide said. But nice. Happy to be back to HCMC.

We had a great experience on a Uniworld River Cruise in Europe about a few years back. Then about 2 years ago we learned that they have just started the Mekong River cruise itinerary, so we planned and booked our trip way in advance to get the room that we liked for this trip and we have not been disappointed.... The cleanest river I've seen there. One of my friend told me that the fishes in the menu of some hotels in Vietnam are grown in Mekong river. At first I was like. "Ugh okay?!" But when I saw mekong, "ah okay. Wala na kong magagawa. Nakain ko na yung isda." Hahaha

South East Asia is one of the most exaggerating destinations for travel lovers. Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam are the best places to travel in South East Asia. Our guide was just excellent and had huge knowledge about these places. He helped us finding the best cuisines in these places and even helped us in cutting down the transportation charges. The... 8 day cruise from Saigon, Vietnam to Siem Reap, Cambodia (Angkor Wat) on The Jahan. Laid back and relaxing, the local cultures are fantastic. We visited villages and schools along the way, the children are very inquisitive. The first grade class sang the Hokey Pokey in English. I shot a video on my cell phone then played it back, I... We set up a private tour through Nhi, a tour guide based in HCMC. We were picked up and transported to the Mekong. Along the way we stopped at the Golden Temple. Then we boarded a boat to cross the Mekong River. We had the opportunity to taste local foods, listen to traditional music, watch coconut candy and rice paper... More
