Absolutely the best in 5 star river cruising. APT have set the standard for excellence and expectations. Crew were friendly and courteous at all times. The tour director was a perfectionist as was the the hotel manager. Sightseeing excursions were tailor-made to see all the sights.

We travelled for 3 days/ 2 nights on Song Xanh sampan private cruise. We started near Saigon and finished at Chau Doc. This sampan was for only 2 people and came with 4 staff! An English speaking guide, captain/driver and 2 crew. The sampan was larger than I thought with a forward lounge area with two single cane chairs and... More

If you want to visit Mekong River during high season or peak season, make sure you stay together in your group and the most important thing is to remember your boat number. Yes you read it right, your boat number it is as important as you tix back home to your hotel. If you have problem remembering your tour guide's... More

This cruise is amazing. We brought our tour in District 1 near our hotel. This cruise involves 1-2 days and island hopping. Make sure you spray a lot of mosquito repellent because you are constantly near the water, I missed one side of my face and I still got bitten. You get to see the beauty of Saigon, and how... More

We did a day tour via speedboat from Ho Chi Minh and it was a spectacular day. We knew it wld be a bit of a hike to get to so opted for the waterways vs the traffic. Great choice! For two hrs we experienced river life- watching the barges of sand, rocks etc cruising past as well as fishermen... More

We took the Toum Tiou II river cruise ship from Siem Reap, Cambodia down the Tonie Sap river to Saigon via the Meykong river. A river cruise is a very interesting way to see the life along the Meykong river. Seeing the floating villages, fishing industry, etc. are all, so worth the trip.

My husband I travelled with APT on their 12 day tour through Vietnam and Cambodia and would highly recommend it. We arrived in Ho Chi Minh for two days staying at the Sheraton, the hotel was excellent and would stay there again if we returned. We met our guide Long who was to stay with us throughout the trip, he... More

I recently travelled the Mekong on APT's 12 Day Vietnam Cambodia Highlights tour. The tour director briefed us every day as to what to expect from each excursion, and local tour guides gave us very personal accounts of the areas we toured and histories of the people. The knowledge and passion from these guides made this trip unforgettable. I wouldn't... More

We travelled from Tonle Sap in Cambodia to My Tho in Vietnam aboard the 5* RV La Marguerite. Every day we disembarked to visit places along the Tonle and Mekong rivers. From small villages to a city, such as Phnom Penh, each day brought a different perspective on the lives of the people, from the Royal Palace of Phnom Penh... More

We were sold this holiday as being the 'luxury of luxuries' by our local branch of Hays Travel in Dorset - wrong - it is a 3.5 star cruise and this was confirmed by a fellow Aussie traveller who worked for Princess Cruises. Don't be fooled by sales staff who had a freebie from Travelmarvel. The 'free alcohol' policy is... More
