My girlfriend and I took a 90 minute course at Pums. We were excited and impressed with the clean facilities. Unfortunately the experience did not live up to expectations. - We did not get started until 30 minutes past the scheduled start time and were offered no explanation or apology - The instructor was a very poor communicator and teacher... more

There are a few classes you can do and we did the Pum's Little Wok tour which was 2650 baht per person and ran for 4 hours. You selected 4 dishes you'd like to cook then were taken through basic thai ingredients and proceeded to cook 2 of them then visited the local markets then came back to cook the... more

I went with my two friends for the Lipstick course. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant first. For 900 baht, we made three dishes each. The ingredients were chopped for us, and each was explained before we used it. We were so impressed by the simplicity of the food! It's not that easy to get authentic Thai... more

My wife and I were in Phuket and wanted to take a break from all the beaches and island and do something different. We saw several different "cooking schools", Pum was the cheapest of them. We took their class where we each learned 3 dishes each. The instructor's English was good enough. They were real nice there. After making each... more

I recently did the 90 minute thai cooking class at Pums, in Patong. Dishes taught were green curry, tom yum and tom khai goong. We first went through all of hte ingredients, and discussed what could be used as alternatives if you couldn't source the exact herb at your local market. We then went through how to make the green... more

Wow - this is my favourite place to eat in Thailand and i have been lucky enough to do the cooking school twice now - and once i was even taught by Pum. Her focus is on fast easy and fresh food - which is something we can all do with. Everything, and i mean everything, i have ever eaten... more

I thought it was time a wrote this review as i did the class in Sept 08. I can't praise the staff enough at Pum's in Patong they are so warm and welcoming and it is very hands on. The School is actually part of the Restaurant so you can have a meal there or do the classes or both.... more

I love cooking, but do not have too much experience cooking Thai food, so I thought "why not try this out?" I am so glad that I dragged my husband along to try it with me because surprisingly, he too enjoyed the class! You can take anywhere from a 30 min. class to an all day class. We chose the... more

We just returned from our trip to Thailand. While in Phuket we happened upon Pum Thai Restaurant & Cooking School. Seeing that we are "foodies" we decided to stop in and pick up one of Pum's cookbooks to bring back to the states with us. While inside we ended up taking her 2 dish Mini-me class and the experience was... more

Reading all the positive reviews here, I had looked forward to taking the cooking lesson. I went into the restaurant/school myself to book myself a 5-hour private course, which cost me B3750 (about US$100). They seemed they have offered someone else a ride to/from their hotel, but did not offer me the same. I arrived the restaurant at 11:00 as... more
