We stayed close by and loved the beach, quiet and relaxing with a few hotels and restaurants along the front.

A stretch of beach that is lovely for swimming and sunbathing. Largely controlled by the Laguna land estate of hotels and villas.

Beautiful, long beach with plenty of bars and variety of local food prepared on the beach. Local people are not pushing you to buy anything however are very helpful and service oriented. The beach gives a possibility for long walks, runs, sand castles buildings etc. As the beach does not have any hotel reserved areas it is beautiful and wide.

Bang Tao beach is great. The beach is quite long over a couple of kilometres. Therefore it doesn't feel crowded. There are no waves or strong currents so it is safe for swimming. There are also designated swimming areas for extra safety away form jet skis etc. A very relaxed place where you can sit all day and not get... More

Had a great day here with friends on our trip to Phuket. The guy selling ice cream dressed as a parrot is a joy to watch & we ended up eating at his restaurant Pooh & Friends twice as the food was so good.

Bang Tao beach kept our holiday special after the disappointment of the one at Surin (no beach beds allowed!!). The sand is soft, the sea warm and gentle and it stretches on for miles. There's loads of great bars and restaurants (look out for The Local bar and Silmie restaurant - a great combination). Sunbeds are 100 baht with parasol... More

Really long beach. Admiteddly not the best water in Thailand, but the coast is beautiful and easy to reach from the airport (500-600 Baht). There are some amazing hotels in the middle around a lagoon which feels like an upper class retirement area in Florida. Beautiful, green, quiet. The most exclusive real estate and hotels in Phuket. We stayed in... More

A simple, nice beach away from it all. It has a swimming area, and baby elephants have sometimes visited the beach, although we did not see any.

We planned to go to Lotus restaurant to have a dinner and enjoy the sunset there. Unluckily, it is closed and we switch to bang tao beach directly. We arrive just in time to catch the sunset moment there. Except this, you can have different water activities there. There are some small restaurants in the hotel besides!. Hope you have... More
