We spent the day in Nai Harn Beach and took a tuk-tuk to Phromthep Cape to catch the sunset at southernmost point of Phuket. Tuk tuk from Nai Harn Beach to Phromthep Cape is around 200 baht and tuk tuk driver offered the trip from Nai Harn Beach - Phromthep - Kata(where we stayed) for 600 baht. The sunset view... More

If you want solitude or seek serenity during a sunset, this is not the spot. It is a very busy look out with vendors and tourists. I liked the place not as much for the view, but for the collection of elephants in all shapes and sizes that are arranged in a circle around a small Buddhist shrine. Many of... More

We came here to watch the sunset. We were told that it was the best place to see the sunset in SE Asia. It was good, but we have seen more spectacular sunsets in several other places in the world. It was much busier than expected, but there was lots of parking available and many shops/stalls selling souvenirs and food.

This is the place to go for the sunset. Keep your eye on the clouds , if they are low the sun will disappear behind them so get some early snaps. It's a popular place , plenty of parking, some shops and stalls. Also visit the lighthouse, it's free, just remove your shoes and go on in. Only a brief... More

maybe the most beautiful location on phuket, and no buildings no hotels, unspoiled. it is rather busy, but not if you hike all the way out to the edge, which is the best location anyway. sunsets must be awesome, we were there mid-day and it was a great little trip

I heard many great things about one of the most southern points of Phuket and certainly did not disappoint. The view is fabulous and watching the sunset is magnificent. A small dirt track is leading down to the cape and good shoes and a torch if you stay till after sunset are recommended to get back up to the top.... More

Recommend travellers to experience a trip to Phrompthep cape and watch the sun go down. We were seated at a table on the headland ideally placed to take in the amazing views.

Unfortunately, I was not here to see the sunset, but the view from the cape are lovely, and well worth the drive. It was part of an all-day private tour, and I enjoyed being able to get out of the car and stretch my legs for a bit. Some walking involved, as the best views are near the top of... More
