Beautiful Views

We went to Phrompthep Cape during a half day tour of Phuket, the views were beautiful and not over crowded as with other places. Well worth seeing during your visit.

The sunset/sunrise is ok, but you have better less crowded places to visit. Just ask some locals at your hotel and they will give you better places to see it.

I don't know what is the hype about this place. I didnt go there to see sunset or sun rise. But the view was not even amazing at all. It was very hot and crowded with tourist. I left after 10 minutes.

Don't get me wrong! It's beautiful to wait untill the sun gets down and then you enjoy this red, yellow and orange sky. It really looks very beautiful. But I discovered with my wife and child views that are much more amazing... You need a own car or a motocycle but it's also worth it like this escape. Drive from... More

Phrompthep cape is at southern tip of Phuket island. Its about 7km from Karon viewpoint. If you are staying around Patong/Kata/Karon you'll most likely have to cross Karon viewpoint to reach the Cape, so you can do both together. Parking our bike at Phrompthep cape was a nightmare. I think there must have been at least thousand people who had... More

Hired a tuk-tuk from Patong starting at 3:30 PM to go to Karon beach, Kata beach, Karon-Kata view point, and the last stop was Promthep Cape. Because I had already rent the tuk-tuk for 3 hours (cost 1000 baht), I didn't feel like want to negotiate about over-time. So must leave the beautiful Promthep Cape at 6 PM. Unlucky me!... More

Reached the cape around 6pm and there were lots of people like my wife and i who wanted to see the sunset. Place not bad but sadly, due to the clouds, not able to enjoy the sunset. Went to the shops and got 2 nice t-shirts which had printing on the front and back which other shops elsewhere may not... More

If possible, please plan your trip to watch the sunset there. Since I was on a group tour, we visited the cape at around 3pm. it was SCORCHING hot. sweating and humid, so if you're bringing kids, please prepare hats/cap and battery operated fan please. However, the view there was really something, i recommend the place, just try to plan... More

Wonderful location to get those perfect holiday snaps! We've been there to take photos on each of our trips to Phuket. Recommend going at sunset for the best photo opportunities (or very early morning when there is no one around) :)
