We booked this trip via the tourist information office at Jungceylon. If I was working at the tourist office I would burn all this companies leaflets. It gives them a bad name. From start to finish this was terrible. The Raya Island (Racha Island) trip was organised through Golden Region Travel. Hotel pickup was fine, until we got to the... More

We booked a trip to Racha (Raya) island through golden region travel. They picked us up from our hotel and took us to Chalong Pier where their office is based. It felt like we were in a cattle market as there were 60+ people going on the trip. We were scaremongers into renting fins for snorkelling and told that if... More

The island's most popular tourist attraction in Phuket. Is known as a top destination. In tourism to the islands. With just 30 minutes from Chalong Pier. You can see beautiful beaches, crystal clear waters and relaxing on the island and you can snorkel around the island. Including a diving course here. Racha Yai Island is ideal for a short time.... This island is about a 30 minute trip via speedboat from Chalong and is apparently owned or leased by some sort of resort. The tour operator warned us everything costs money, and he was right -- sit on a chair, 100 baht. Use the toilet, 20 baht. We did some OK snorkeling from the boat not far from the flexible... More

We took Raya Princess (company) day tour to Koh Racha Yai (or Raya Island) It took us only about 40 min to the island from Southern Phuket I am sure Koh Racha Rai is a beautiful island but the beach the tour operator took us to for snorkeling was congested with people and practically unlike the beautiful pictures in tour... Thanks, Easy229 - you have pretty much told my story too! Wish I'd read it before we went on our day of disappointment. The only changes are that life-jackets on the boats have improved from Hello Kitty gear, and the extra cost of sitting on a lounger was 200 baht. Almost nothing promised on the brochure eventuated. Shortly after arrival... More

I don't like to give a poor review because everyone's thoughts are different. My rating will say what I think but you my friends will make up your mind. This is just how our day went. Pickup from hotel was spot on time. Speedy minibus until we get to another hotel. 20 minute wait for two immaculately dressed and prepared... More

A day trip snorkeling and scuba diving took us out to this small island. The boat trip from Phuket was scenic and fun in some of the bigger waves we ran into. Once at the island and having jumped into the water I was shocked to discover a revolting amount of trash and plastic floating around the multiple bays we... More
