Idyllic island, still not fully developed. Azure blue seas. West coast is for tourism. Traces of rubber and oil palm plantation. Mainly Muslim local community, small 2-3 star hotels, but there are big ones such as Rawiwarin. Several 7-11 stores to cater for tourists. Lots of Europeans coming for sun, sand, sea and blue skies. However, some beach are rocky... More

I joined a one-day tour to this island. On arrival, the astonishing view already took my breath away. The beach is extremely beautiful, white & soft sand, crystal blue water. A must-go destination if you are visiting Phuket!

You can spend overnight on the island as there are few resort but a day trip is enough if you don't enough time. I will... More

We booked this trip via the tourist information office at Jungceylon. If I was working at the tourist office I would burn all this companies leaflets. It gives them a bad name. From start to finish this was terrible. The Raya Island (Racha Island) trip was organised through Golden Region Travel. Hotel pickup was fine, until we got to the... More

We booked a trip to Racha (Raya) island through golden region travel. They picked us up from our hotel and took us to Chalong Pier where their office is based. It felt like we were in a cattle market as there were 60+ people going on the trip. We were scaremongers into renting fins for snorkelling and told that if... More

The island's most popular tourist attraction in Phuket. Is known as a top destination. In tourism to the islands. With just 30 minutes from Chalong Pier. You can see beautiful beaches, crystal clear waters and relaxing on the island and you can snorkel around the island. Including a diving course here. Racha Yai Island is ideal for a short time....
