The soft cool breeze in your face is an awesome feeling. Specially for a person from a city which doesn't have a beach in a thousand km radius. A drink in your hand, nice waves, a clear night, nice cool sand, good company..what else could you ask for..

Karon beach is a little bit crowded in the touristic peak season (not as Patong), but it's a great beach with white soft sand. Worth the short trip from Patong beach. Many restaurants located in the streets near the beach.

Beautiful. However we were there in low season, which is of course when the rain comes, which also means choppy seas... Which washes in the rubbish. However there are always people raking it up and out the way, it's a big job but everyone's glad someone is out there doing it. Beware of rips, if you are not a confident... More

The beach was the one let down of staying in Karon! It is so sad as it has the potential to be lovely but there is a feel of real neglect. The beach and park next to the beach is strewn with rubbish. There seems to be no attempt made to keep to clean the rubbish everywhere you look. There... More

Karon beach is huge - it really is very long! The sand is really nice and the water is quite clean. Apparently there were a lot of deck chairs on the sand until quite recently. Those have all been removed by the local authorities so the beach is clear and unobstructed. There were some quite strong waves when I went,... More

Comparing to Patong, this beach is wayy wayy quieter and the sand are wayyy much finer and whiter. Waters are much cleaner also. Hence my girlfriend and I has enjoyed the view in this beach. Quiet, no much activities, unlike patong. But it is great for people who enjoy the beaches and sand, rather than the rowdiness.

Bit dirty but still lovely Storms have made the beaches a bit messy. But overall the better place to stay. We moved from petong or karon and it was the best idea ever.

The crowded Patong beach still remains the most popular tourist attraction on the west side of Phuket peninsula. Even though the National Council for Peace and Order has banned all sun chairs and umbrella's Patong Beach still offers a broad variety of tourist attractions and - overpriced - activities such as jet ski & parasailing. I recommend to skip the... More

I'm usually one to leave detailed reviews, but there's honestly not much to say here. It's a beach - it's not terrible, it's not great. If you're expecting a world class beach you'll be disappointed, but if you're happy just to get away and spend time by the water it's fine. I'll reiterate what someone else said that's not really...
