+The beach is beautiful and no pushers around. sometimes waves can be big. can do parasailing and jetski rental. Very easy access from the hotels. If you gonna spend your time in resort then it is alright. Downsides -No chairs to rent on the beach. Didnt find toilets. -to get around you need tuk tuk ride and it cost minimum... More

We stay in Karon Beach when we come to Phuket, this year we noticed the beach is being cleaned up. There are no hawkers to harass you and all of the sun beds have gone. It is quieter than Patong so if you want to relax away from the hustle and bustle Karon Beach is the perfect place to do... More

If you are coming to Phuket to relax, I would recommend the Karon Beach area over Patong Beach, but I guess it depends on what you're looking for. These 2 areas are quite a contrast, Patong is for someone looking for a crazy exotic Thai party life (in short, it's crowded), and Karon is just the opposite - quiet, peaceful,... More

Well if you like beach life and family friendly place, that's there. We stayed at Mowenpick hotell. A bit expensive. Many younger party russian people and Australian families staying there.

Very clean and quiet beach. Super soft sand. Great for photos too. Red flags when we were there meant it wasn't very safe. Only good for strong swimmers. Rip tide to watch out for. The huge waves were so much fun. We laughed so much.

Nice beach near Kata. The beach is also ideal for surfing during monsoon season. The golden sand was quite grainy though but overall nice place to hang out in.

We were staying at Old Phuket and the beach is so close so are the markets, really great location, easy to get to Patong for a night out and our day trips.

We stayed two nights in this area. I liked it as there were markets and shops just a short walk. There were plenty of eateries and the place had a nice feel.

I love this beach because I hate a crowded beach. I visited this beach that near to my hotel (Karona Resort & Spa) and almost nobody there. The sea and sand was very clean, very quite so you can take a good picture here. No water sport attraction available.

We had a great trip to Karon Beach in January 2014 and one of the best parts was the relaxation at the beach. Even though there was a small cost for renting the chairs/umbrellas it was well worth it to avoid the hot sun and be relaxed and comfortable. We were thinking of going back again to visit next year... More
