Owner description: Khao Kheow Open Zoo, for over 32 years, has been a cherished resource located in Chonburi Province .The zoo encompasses over 2,000 acres of the Khao Kheow-Khao Chom Puo Wildlife Sanctuary. The zoo grounds are divided into animal habitats (400 acres), public recreational areas (200 acres) and research area (1,400 acres) which is used for the breeding of various endangered species. It is the first zoo in Thailand to become a member of WAZA .

I took my family to this place, not just once, but two times as we thoroughly enjoyed our time, it is nice to see animals out of cages and almost roaming free, my little lad loved feeding the deer and monkeys, he was sad to leave! great day out and one to recommend!

We spent a great day at this huge zoo! The scope and size of the open zoo is impressive with a great assortment of animals and we'll constructed habitats for the animals. Even if you aren't a fan of zoos, this one will win your heart. Or, rather, its animals will win your heart. These are clearly happy, healthy, outgoing creatures which, it seems, think that you are in the zoo and they are the visitors. So much fun and such a different experience. Love the lay out and the shows were amazing. Our 4yo got to feed a lion,rhinos and giraffes

a must to see in pattaya, plenty to see and do, try to get there before the daily elephant shows watch them playing football and darts, if you dont like large animals then don't sit near the front, they will come right up to the barriers and reach over, they wont hurt you, just be mindful if you have children... animals roaming in open. this place is the closest u can get to wildlife without a real safari. did this with flight of the gibbon tour. had a great day.

I had gone with my friends last month. Really not to miss zoo. 50 km from pattaya.taxi charges 1000 bhat up and down. At the entrance get battery operated small car to round the zoo.by walk you will be bit tired. Special attractions are deers. Monkeys . penguin and birds paradise. Organised in a hill. Very pleasurable. Don't miss
