Pattaya is good for nightlife, but the beach is garbage. Instead, hire a speedboat to take you out to Koh Larn (<30 mins) for about THB 2000-2500 (roundtrip, the driver will wait until you want to leave). The small island is quiet, relaxing, clean, and not crowded. It's a good break from the madness of Pattaya. more
The boat over was very loud and full. There were about 50 lifejackets and about 100 people on board...Go Figure!!! We could swim if we had too. Nice little island approximately 15 min by high speed boat or 40 mins by ferry from Pattaya Beach. The water is clearer and cleaner than Pattaya beach. Great for swimming , snorkling, jet skiing , Para sailing or just lying in the sun on the beach. Has cozy litle resturants that u can eat at or will bring food down... more
