I always enjoy this beach. People are friendly and the beach is long. I do wish the water was cleaner though. Quite often it's merky. Hotels and food are most often pretty good. I'd rather stay in Jomtien then Pattaya.

If you are in Pattaya on vacation, chances you will be staying in north, central or south Pattaya. The beach that runs along beach road is narrow, steep in spots and non existent in other spots when high tide comes in. So take a songtaew at the corner of south Pattaya road and Second road. There is a big school... More

Ive been to some of the best beachs in the world and Jomtien is not even close the water is murky and not clear, to many people selling crap and heaps of gay men not nice to see. I got into a taxi and went to a place called Nar Jomtien so much better less people got some wind surfing... More

Glad that we went there on a weekday when there was less crowd. I love the fact that ambulant vendors offer you local food and drinks while you're enjoying the sights and the breeze. Wish the seaside bars are open til night time.

Typical Thailand beach. Very crowded and to many beach sellers. Koh Samui much better where the water is cleaner.

Be very careful, was mugged in broad day light and was told that they get hundreds of snatches and muggings every day now! Also, its getting very expensive and the quality of food and service very poor now. I wont ever return

The beach itself is clean and sandy, with big trees offering shade. There are vendors with folding chairs to rent, they also sell food and cold drinks/beer all day. One can have a massage, manicure or pedicure on the beach. The problem is the sea water is dirty and full of floating rubbish so that swimming is not pleasant.

might have just been bad timing but the beach did not smell nice. Murky water, didnt swim, I'd recommend taking a ferry to another island like koh samet / koh lan if you want to swim. too much plastic in the water, poor infrastructure in pattaya for sewerage and wastewater which i'd guess both run directly to the ocean, tax... Pattaya, or Jomtien is a place that you go to for the AGoGo and bar scene. Going to the beach is a major disappointment, whether it is Pattaya or Jomtien. Hundreds, or thousands of people, constant screaming noise of jet skys and high powered boats and the stink of diesel fumes. A beach surely should be a place of natural... More

Jomtien beach was interesting as far as what was around it, the beach itself I didn't like at all being from Queensland, Australia where the sand is fine and unfortunately Jomtien was pretty much dirt and rocks. However sitting down drinking out of a coconut was still nice.
