Why would anyone want to go to this beach? I live a few miles there and don't go as I'm afraid to catch some disease from the water and don't like having garbage bags and other trash attacking me in the water. You will be pestered the whole time you are there by street people trying to sell you everything... More

Jomtien Beach is ugly place. We had plans to stay there for a few weeks, but we left hotel after 3 or 4 nights. Beach is so dirty that it looks like small waste dump. We find there 1000Bath!:) See is very, very polluted. Taste of water is bitter, smels like...its just ugly!! Beach is very narrow and located nesxt... More

We spent a great day on Jomtien Beach, although most of the sellers can be somewhat annoying (although they do go with a polite no thanks) we bought fresh fruit for next to nothing. Not too sure about going in the sea thouh as it wasn't a good colour!!

I liked this beach. Ok you get hawkers trying to sell you stuff all the time - but if you just smile and tell them no thanks, then they generally leave you alone. For 200 baht we had a couple of deck chairs with sun umbrellas together with 2 soft drinks and 2 bottles of water - all served to... More

Got a large speed boat to Jomtien beach from Pattaya main beach. Would recommend doing it this way "if your based in central Pattaya" as its an expeirience in itself, although can be done by road or even a long stroll. They provide food and drink including booze, has a waiter service with orders taken and brought to where ever... More

It was great to swim on the beach here, even had some great seafood right on the beach after the swim. Very clean and much less crowded than Pattaya Beach.

Thailand is a wonderful land for vaccations - but it is a must you find the rights place. For me Jomtien is "too much". The Beach are perfect but overcrowded with people, rubbish and venders. We are not comming back to this part of Thailand but indeed another place.

After visiting the ‘Buddha On The Hill’, we took a baht bus in the wrong direction and ended up on Jomtien Beach. It’s noticeably quieter than it’s neighbour in Pattaya. For those unfamiliar with either; there is an abundance of pre arranged deck chair seating available for a small fee. Through payment and making oneself stationary you can find yourself... More

Jomtien beach is a lovely beach. Golden Sand and a great promenade for walking from Pratumnak to Jomtien. However, the amount of actual rubbish including plastic bags, plastic bottles and general rubbish is hateful to see. Why is it that in Thailand locals and tourists simply drop their rubbish on the beach , along the side of the roads etc.... More
