This place attracts lots of tourists - understandably as it's quite dramatic. A huge, imposing golden buddha figure located at the top of the highest point in Pattaya, approached via a completely over-the-top naga staircase. Chickens cluck around, dogs and cats stroll across the path and they've been joined by guys with cameras who'll 'pap' your expression as you gaze... More

There is little write up on how to climb up this Khao Phra Tamnak, the highest hill at Pattaya. Most visitors went there by tuk tuk or mini-vans. The one research that I have was by a group of expatriate enthusiastic of keeping fit to climb up in the evening from the light house at the end of Beach Road... More

On the way up to the hill, the road was so steep and I felt a bit scare; however everyone in the car seemed to get used to it. I think this is a sacred place, because there's some monument that Thai people like to pay respect. I would say the weather was good on the day I was there,... More

This place gives you two attractions: you can visit the Big Buddha (and some other Buddhas) on one side, and on the other, you'll get an excellent view of the whole crescent of Pattaya Beach/Bay. This is one place where you can spend one afternoon leisurely, and it will be well worth it.

This is the the one and only place to be able to the whole Pattaya city and its beautiful bay. Great to be able to visit here.

This mountain has a nice view of Pattaya city as well as the sea. It is only mountain in Pattaya. There is a temple where u can pray if u are buddhist. I went to the temple, feeling peace ^^

Khao Phra Tamnak is my personal pick as the single most intriguing attraction in Pattaya, though I am obviously in the minority here: Walking Street easily draws a thousand visitors to Khao Phra Tamnak's 1. The beauty of this very special place is also, unfortunately, being undermined by rapid commercial development on all sides. Catch it while you can. Why... More

This Is Easily The Best Beach In Pattaya (If Not Thailand) A 'Best kept Secret '( And As I Live Here, I Kinda Hope It Stays That Way) Clean, Beautiful Beach-Front Gardens, Out-Of-This-World Sunsets.(If It's Not Cloudy Of Course) and Usually Very Quiet (except For All Thai Holidays, When It Can be Packed By The 'Locals' Who Know) Many Weddings,... A short distance from Big Buddha but a hefty uphill walk with a rewarding view. On one side a small temple and the other a monument to Prince of Chumpon aka Father of The Royal Thai Navy. Of course best attendance is when there is a clear sky and no rain.
