A Absolute must visit for any one from any religion or background. Either get a taxi bike as I don’t think Baht Buses pass by, BUT it is am must visit. The sight of the Big Buddha is just so humbling an experience, I don’t know the size but must be in excess of 50 feet high towering over you... More

If you are a group, negotiate with a baht bus driver. If you are driving, there's free parking. There are two sections of the Big Buddha site; the lower... More

Not only is this a great stopping point to take in a little of the Buddha religion. It is also a nice spot to look out over Pattaya.

My wife and I were escorted by a dedicated Buddhist who pointed out all the symbolic icons etc and carried out her duties as a dutiful Buddhist. She spoke to the Senior Monk and to my surprise, he motioned for me... More

Wat Phra Yai (Big Buddha Hill) is an attractive place in Pattaya. There is a huge image of Buddha at the top of the hill, so visitors can notice it from a distant location. The image of Buddha is even more incredible when look at it closely as it is absolutely huge. Each day a lot of visitors go to... More
