Visited the famous Pattaya Gems factory as part of an orientation tour of Pattaya organized by our tour operator, D.S.Travels. The factory visit provided an insight to the process of acquiring, shaping, cutting & polishing of precious gems. The 20-25 minute toy train / tram ride provided to visitors during the orientation tour makes the visit particularly interesting. The sales/service... More

Not bad just to check it out, but the jewelry seemed really expensive and the salesperson follows you the whole time. That being said, he was a pretty nice guy and more informative than pushy. The examples of raw ruby and emerald were pretty cool and I would have enjoyed the videos about the mining process, but they didn't seem... More

The underground factory showing the complete process of acquiring, shaping, cutting and polishing of the precious Gem Stones is fascinating and well worth the forty five minutes tour. The Gem Shop is swamped with too many Sales Staff, who do not leave you alone for a second and make it very difficult for you to take a rational independent decision... More

At Gems Gallery they show how gems are extracted and used in jewellery. They have a train ride which shows all phases of this. Then there is workshop where people are making jewellery. I would recommend you go for just a look, its great to see how they make the jewellery. There you will see very unique ornament designs. There... More

The show pieces were really amazing especially the peacock and the dragons made of the crystals and very pricy as well. They show the process of how they get the gems and then turn it to be the ones we use. They also have shop inside and items are available for purchase.

They seem to think that tourists are on the lower side of the IQ score by the poor show they put up in the name of 'Authentic Gem Workshop' and 'Handcrafted Jewelry'. It would seem that their main aim is to entice the tourists into buying cheaper jewelry and stones at exorbitant prices while distracting them with cheap theatrics. Quite... More
