The train tour was of some interest but you're not allowed to take photos and it's not worth what you get at the end, unless you really want to buy some jewellery. I had expected it to be full of loose lucky type gemstones and to be able to wander freely, how wrong I was. It's a massive jewellery shop... More

Do you really want to buy something? They will really pressure you into buying something (if there are two of you, then two somethings!) Don't expect to walk around and browse by yourself!! While the price is cheap (compared with most countries) expect to pay around 18,000 - 30,000 baht for gold, gemstone and tiny diamonds (1800 baht for silver,... More

The Gems Factory Shop, Museum and Tour in Pattaya provided us with a mixed experience. The initial tour on a toy train and describing the process of excavating and cutting gems was good. The shop has a very large hall displaying various gems. They are good surely but much more expensive than the same thing that is available in India.... More

Great place to visit this place to see the museum and can do shopping for various genuine gem stones at a reasonable price.

We went to see this store, which also has a large museum and an underground interactive factory visit which is like a Sound n Light Show. A forty five minute tour that explains the journey of a gem from the raw material to the finished product stage. Interesting, must say! Then walked around the large showroom which displayed various gems,... More

Visited the famous Pattaya Gems factory as part of an orientation tour of Pattaya organized by our tour operator, D.S.Travels. The factory visit provided an insight to the process of acquiring, shaping, cutting & polishing of precious gems. The 20-25 minute toy train / tram ride provided to visitors during the orientation tour makes the visit particularly interesting. The sales/service... More

Not bad just to check it out, but the jewelry seemed really expensive and the salesperson follows you the whole time. That being said, he was a pretty nice guy and more informative than pushy. The examples of raw ruby and emerald were pretty cool and I would have enjoyed the videos about the mining process, but they didn't seem... More

The underground factory showing the complete process of acquiring, shaping, cutting and polishing of the precious Gem Stones is fascinating and well worth the forty five minutes tour. The Gem Shop is swamped with too many Sales Staff, who do not leave you alone for a second and make it very difficult for you to take a rational independent decision... More
