Have been too Samui many times and also did stay in other quite beaches on the island, but Chaweng beach is still the one I will keep coming back and stay close to. While you know how to choose a good resort location, you are able to keep both busy and quite life together on Chaweng beach.

Nice beach with various choices of entertainments which include kayak, high speed jet-ski and even the water-propelled jet pack. Thai massage is also available at the beach for those who just simply want to enjoy the cool breeze and peacefulness of the sea. A food street was only 2-3 mins away from the beach. The street offers all kinds of... More

We went there just to check out the beach, i wasnt impressed with the beach it has a wash at one end where the water is only knee deep no good for swimming. You need to walk round 10 mins further to be able to swim. Its a nice beach to walk along but it is very busy and noisy... More

Great sandy beach the Hotels and the community keep a watchful eye on this beach, you will see people out in groups regularly sifting the sand for garbage and those unsightly cigarette butts :(

I have been to Koh Samui more than 3 times in 2 decades and realized that it has changed a lot and has become too busy and commercialized. The people are not as warm and friendly as before and it has become more like Bali. Yes, massages are still cheap but Chaweng beach where I stayed at Chaweng Regent was... More

Nice big beach, not overcrowded when we were there, but still quite busy. Think may have gotten sea lice minor skin irritation on the 2nd day otherwise beautiful water to swim in, no back or sidewash. Very commercialized. If going to rest of Thailand then worth a visit, otherwise would be just as happy to go to the Caribbean if... More

Clean, Warm and Crystal clear water! Plenty of space to swim in-between the jet skis. Not much of a swell. This beach is the best I've ever visited!

Chaweng beach is a lovely beach on the north east part of the island. Arguably the finest beach on Samui (white sand, calm water), it is also home to the bar & nightclub scene. There are also numerous water sport providers along the beach. Many boutique hotels are here as well as different lodging options to suit all tastes &... More
