Animal cruelty alert !! We came across elephant trekking whilst going to see 'Namuang waterfall' in Ko Samui , Thailand ...I have never seen something so cruel and sad in my life. Stupid tourists riding elephants for a short period of what they call 'fun' whilst being completely unaware of what happens to these poor animals for them to allow... More

We chose a tour with Samui Off Road Mountain Tours which was a full day 4x4 mountain & sightseeing tour. It included a visit to this park. We were shown 3 shows: Baby elephants, monkey and crocodiles. I was a little disappointed in the monkey show - but the other two were very good. The elephant show had lots of... More

This has got to be the worst place on the beautiful Island of Koh Samui. Myself, my wife and another five people (2 children) decided to make this a special trip on our last day on the Island, what a mistake! We were told that the Elepahants were not tied up and could roam freely which wasn't true, the elephants... More

Elephants are treated as all working animals. The place is great, but older elephants can do more tick than younger. For people who wrote bad reviews: Google it how to train horse for riding, how to train dog in police itc... and how many elephants were killed by white people! after that you can judge. I only write this review... More

As my wife pointed out this is probably not up to Australian standards on treatment of elephants but there's a lot going on in this area of the world that isn't which affects children. This is probably the explanation for all the terrible reviews. They didn't appear to be unnecessarily cruel but there were chains on some animals but I... More

Loved the elephant ride, wouldnt visit the tigers on principal, the monkey show was poor, but again maybe that is just my own thoughts, other people seems to like it, just one monkey climbing a tree to get cocnuts. The elephant show was good, again just one elephant, BUT why all the loud music ,its not a club.

I'm currently sat at my hotel bar drinking a glass of red and eating spring rolls reflecting back on what a horrific experience I encountered this morning and after speaking to the bar staff about it and them agreeing on what happens to the creatures on their island I thought I would share it. If I can stop 2 people... More

So we booked the full day 4x4 tour which included Big Buddha Temple, Grandmother/Grandfather Rock, Mummified Monk, the animal park shows, elephant trekking, lunch, waterfall, and top of the island stops. All of the attractions (minus the animal shows) were very well coordinated, and the jeeps were perfect for getting around the island. Our guide was extremely nice and very... More

We enjoyed every minute of the day. The staff were professional and safety conscious. They worked as a team and made sure everyone was involved in every activity and (repeat) safe. We gained a good feel for the island's flora and fauna, rude rocks, previous money earners (rubber, coconut, logging), working animals (but we do not like caged animals), the... More
