We passed by this park on an island tour on the way to a waterfall and sadly saw the awful treatment of the elephants. They were chained to the ground with 1-2 foot long chains pulling on their legs even though they were in and enclosed area. The elephants were swaying and appeared very agitated. The park sold food to... More

We are currently on vacation in Thailand and went to Koh Samui for a few days where we rented a car and drove ourselves around the island. We came by Namuang animal park and went to take a look. It didnt take long to figure out that the poor animals here - elephants, tigers etc are suffering abuse. The elephants... More

This is one thing about Asia that makes me very sad. They don't respect their animals. I didn't plan to go to this place. I was on my way to the waterfall and decided to stop here. They have a leopard on a half a meter long chain, then the people can take a picture with it - horrible. There... More

This place was amazing! I would plan a trip just go see the leopards and other animals! I would go mid morning so you can see all of the animals as well as do the water fall hike!

I know a lot of people on here bag out the way the elephants are treated etc. But we all know that you're going to ride an elephant while you're in Thailand, it's a must do for everyone! These guys were nice, picked us up from the hotel on time (in an Air-conditioned bus), and dropped us home after. We... More

We visited as part of an Eco tour and felt some of the attractions were a little rushed. The tour included elephant trekking, thai cooking demonstration, we would have preferred if we could have participated, Namuang waterfall 2 which was very disappointing, tiny area with hardley any water and far too many people, kayaking through the mangrove forest which was... This is the worst place I have every been to. It was part of out Koh samui island tour and we had no idea it would involve this horrific place! Please if you like animals - never come here! It started off with an elephant show. The staff were taking money from members of the audience to get onto the... More

I was a tad sceptical about our visit to this park and after experiencing the shows and elephant trek I am totally against such parks. No animal was in their natural habitat nor were they allowed to roam freely. The sadness in the animals eyes, especially the elephants was quite hard to experience, with many animals kept in small areas... More

We booked the 45 minute elephant trek with a framed photo and trip to Waterfall 2. This was excellent. Our driver from hotel stopped on the drive there at a beautiful location looking over Lamai Beach from the mountain. The elephant trek was great and our guide even stopped part way through and allowed my husband and I to take... More
