Owner description: A family run cooking class established in 2001. We began with a maximum class size of 8 people. Even though our business has seen tremendous growth, we have decided that this small class size maintains the personalization and individual attention that each student deserves. Yui (Siripen Sriyabhaya), Thailand's international TV chef still teaches every dish in every class to guarantee the highest quality of instruction. Her expertise attracts a variety of students such as, TV chefs, executive chefs, culinary school teachers, international Thai cooking instructors, food columnists, cookbook authors, tourists, and food lovers.Yui's unique blend of art and science truly make cooking exciting, fun, and easy to follow. When students cook these delicious dishes in class, they are equipped with the skills and knowledge to be able to recreate these dishes at home.

Yui has a wicked and mischievous sense of humour and manages to convey some truly novel and practical culinary tips in a down-to-earth way. The whole set-up, from collection, to market visit and rolling-your-sleeves up down-home Thai cooking, makes for a day that's both entertaining and educational. Don't accept second best, go for a professional capable of mixing it with... More

Yui and her husband were amazing to be around. They've opened up their home to many tourists coming to learn how to cook good Thai food. And that's exactly what she teaches: how to make GOOD Thai food. Her knowledge was above expectations. She was such a joy to be around and her class was fun and informative. The day... More

Prepare to spend a whole day at "A lot of Thai". This is slow cooking but the time will fly by. We took Fridays 10 to 05 course which includes 5 dishes: Pad Thai, Som Dam, Panaeng Curry, Stir fried rice and fried banana. Yui (hope I got that right) is a great coach and it never gets boring with... More

Highly recommend this to anyone with a passing interest in cooking or food (who doesnt?) Learned to cook dishes I would not have known how to even attempt, including penang curry and green papaya salad. Yui is really knowledgeable and passionate about thai food and food in general. This is probably one of the best thing dive done while travelling so far! If you love Thai food and want to learn how to combine the flavours you adore into authentic dishes then this is the place to do it! The first real plus for me is the relaxed environment outside of the home, then comes the excellent Yui!... More

Spending the day cooking with Yui was my best experience in Chiang Mai. She teaches how to make authentic Thai food in a relaxed and welcoming open kitchen. Each dish is clearly and concisely explained and then everyone gets to make it themselves from scratch with Yui guiding as much or as little as each individual needs. You also get... More
