Firstly ignore anything below four stars. The elephant nature park is a great example of a non profit organisation working at it's best! The setup in Chiang Mai is brilliant, booking was pretty straight forward too. We went for the overnight volunteer package (now wishing we'd done a week) and were overjoyed with our experience. Both our guides Bee and... More

Hanging out with a bunch of lady elephants for an entire day, seeing them in there natural element, having the freedom to roam around with them... one of the coolest thing I've done in my travels. Definitely worth the steep price tag!

I stayed overnight at the Elephant nature park, and all I can say is that it has been one of the most wonderful, magical, beautiful experiences of my life. Elephants here are well taken care of, most of them have been rescued from horrible situations and now are kings of the park. You get to interact with them, feed them,... More

It was a unique experience to make the acquaintance of the 30 elephants saved by this organization. We spent the day taking care of them and we are glad to know that they can now enjoy a peaceful retirement. We also watched a movie with some difficult images about our domestic elephants are still trained in Thailand. This whole day... More

This is not a thrilling daredevil elephant trek; it's a chance to use your tourist dollars to support an excellent local animal rescue and conservation effort, while still getting plenty of opportunities to interact with and learn about the elephants. The day trip is very well organized - we were collected from our hotels and driven to the park, with... More

Incredible! My day at the elephant nature park was a once in a lifetime perfect experience. Please support a wonderful cause and choose this sanctuary over the other elephant riding tours. You get to spend a lot of time walking alongside these amazing creatures, many who have been rescued from places where they have been mistreated. A brilliant place filled... More

Staying at the Elephant Nature park was the highlight of my trip to Thailand. Our tour guide Apple, was extremely knowledge. She taught us a lot about the elephants, enhancing our visit. I never expected to be able to get so close to the elephants. The park really is helping the elephants. The accommodation was so much better than expected!... More

If you want to get close to elephants without promoting animal cruelty that is fuelled by tourism this is the perfect option. You learn so much and have ample time to feed, bathe and get close to the elephants. Our guide was very informative and the entire staff seemed to have great respect for all the animals there. The lunch... More
