My boyfriend and I volunteered here for a week and really loved it. The founder, Lek, really loves all animals and this park is a testament to that. The elephants here have been rescued from the tourism and logging industries where they suffered a lot of abuse and mistreatment (this is why you should never ride an elephant). If you... More

After seeing how the elephants were treated at Nong Nooch I did my research and ended up here. We booked online, paid the deposit by PayPal, and pick up was as requested from our hotel. Initially a slight mix up as a marked silver van arrived but it was to pick up an overnighter. Our van followed shortly. The 40... More

When my girlfriend said to me 18 months ago, 'I want to go volunteer at the elephant nature park in Chiang Mai for a week' I thought to myself, What is an elephant nature park? What is she on about? and what am I getting myself into by saying yes, being the smart boyfriend, I of course said yes. 18... More

The feeding, bathing, walking and photographing the elephants makes this trip well worth the money. The education done by this project to enlighten travellers as to the horrific practices elephant 'performers' (trekking, painting, shows etc) must endure is incredible, and I sincerely hope animal tourism follows their example in years to come! Many elephants rescued from such brutal lives live... More

This is not a business it is more like a charity. We did the pamper a pakiderm package. This meant we could walk freely with the elephants before bathing them and then going whitewater rafting! It was amazing! We could feed and touch the elephants whenever we pleased they are such amazing and gentle creatures and it was heartbreaking to... More

We did the Pamper a Pachyderm tour and will never forget the amazing experience. The tour goes rain or shine (it was bucketing rain the day we went). The trek with the elephants is fairly easy, but crossing the river with the amount of rain coming down was a minor challenge. Our guide was very knowledgable and spoke English quite... More

My friend and I did the overnight stay at Elephant Nature Park. This was something that I had been wanting to do for a long time, and I was not short of impressed. The elephants are happy and well taken care of by mahouts and other staff who clearly love them very much. We learned so much about the cause... More

What an AMAZING experience we had here on our honeymoon! Will never ever forget the magic of this place! We felt so privileged to walk amongst such beautiful creatures! We did the overnight tour- do it, it's so worth it! You get a much smaller group (we were a group of 6- day groups are rather large-about 12 people) and... More
