First off, it is pretty small and takes no longer than an hour. However, it is thoroughly delightful. Seeing all the stages at umbrella development was interesting. They also have all these artists that will hand paint elaborate and beautiful pictures onto whatever you give them. I went along with my fabric iPad case and a couple of t-shirts I... More

As you walk around you can see the various stages of making a parasol or fan. From how they treat the paper, how they strip the bamboo. You can watch as they paint the item. You can buy anything they make on the premises. I came away with a lovely wall fan with the most beautiful scenery painting on it. More

Just made a short stop. We looked around, it was a bit interesting to watch how the local women make paper umbrellas. There is a souvenir shop nearby but prices of most items are slightly higher than those found in the city. More

A place to watch them hand make umbrellas fans and paper. The artists can paint a variety of designs on your clothes or you can buy a wide variety of gifts at reasonable prices. Fun! More

Seeing saa paper umbrellas made is a bit interesting, but once if you've seen it, you don't need to have it repeated. An hour in this village is enough. More

It's a kind of local & cultural market where you can shop Chiangmai local products. Despite, to me I think not many interesting. More

Bor Sang umbrella making village is a smal community a short distance from Chiangmai town. The road has been widened, most of the umnrella shops have gone, its just a daytim smaller version of the Chiangmai night basaar. Devoid of any beauty, the only reason to go there is to see for ones self that there is little reason to... More

Cannot recommend a visit to this place. Remember visiting years ago and enjoyed it a lot. Now has become just another tourist stop. So many other more interesting places to visit in Chiang Mai. More
