What a brilliant day.... You get to chose five things to cook & at the end of that day you take away a recipe book with every meal from the list to take home! In the book is different things you can use if some of those ingredients aren't available in your country. I learnt so much... Well worth the... More

We bootjes the cooking class directly from our hostel, Julie's, and totally fell in love with Sammy, his wife and his farm. You get to make five dishes, each round you can choose one dish out of three. Halfway there is naptime in the hammocks so you can recover from the first three dishes before you're gonna make desert. In... More

Sammys cooking class was one of the most enjoyable days of our trip and would be something I would never get sick of. It's was told to be the second best class around but slightly cheaper but we were blown away with how good it was for a great price. If cooking is your Hong or you just love food,... More

Our day at Sammy's was easily one of the best experiences of our trip to Thailand. Starting with being introduced to our ingredients in a typical Thai market, Sammy made everything fun. His farm is a beautiful setting, the cooking was really organised, the instructions and explanation clear and never patronising - in short, outstanding. What's more all our food... More

In middle of rice fields a nap in the hammock? Sounds not like a cooking course - but it is! With Summy and his lovely wife! Summy picked us up at our hotel in Chiangmai and after he collected all the hotter participants he went to the local market with us to teach us different type of rice and how... More

Thoroughly enjoyed this day out in Chiang Mai. I was picked up from my accommodation and taken to Sammys farm just outside of the City. When we arrived we were shown around the area and talked through some of the Thai spices and herbs we were going to use. We made a few dishes including the curry paste which I... More

Good choice of food and you get to try everything even if you don't cook it. Particularly enjoyed that we were taken to the countryside to cook, it was lovely to see such a nice farm and it was very peaceful. Cost 1000baht which isn't too bad, but it was worth it for a full day of learning and eating.... More

Friend recommended I do this class and I'm so glad I did. It was a fun day with Sammy and his wife on their farm just outside of the busy Chiang Mai. The setting for the class on his farm is gorgeous, with rice paddies and greenery everywhere. We got to pick from a series of dishes so you made... More

Sammy's is a family run concern, with both Sammy and his wife doing the teaching. They are a great couple and you learn to make 5 dishes as well as taste a few more! It was certainly worth the money and you won't need to eat until the next day!

My husband and I had the best day at Sammy's farm. Sammy's wife came to pick us up and we went to meet Sammy at the market, where he taught us about different rice and how to make fresh coconut cream and let us wander around the bustling market for 10 mins. Then we headed off to the rice farm,... More
