We pick you up from your hotel and transfer you by car to a small traditional village in Doi Saket district about 20 minutes north east of Chiang MaiThe highlight of the tour is cruising along small countryside roads with hardly any traffic stopping at interesting local sights without having to worry about city traffic. We will pass through traditional villages with wooden houses on stilts, ride along small roads through the rice fields and stop at a lake surrounded by beautiful mountains. Encounters like water buffalos crossing the street or children surprised by the unusual sight of foreigners in their village are to be expected. We can give our guests a unique insight in the life of the local people in the Chiang Mai valley because of our experience and thorough knowledge of this area. Our good service and the exotic Thailand will excite you. Enjoy a fantastic cycling adventure with Chiang Mai Bicycle.Total distance of the tour is 30 kilometers of which 99 % along paved country roads. We focus on sightseeing, therefore our tours are suitable for everybody in reasonable shape. Start is every day at 08.00 AM, 10.00 AM and 1.00 PM from the lobby of your hotel, back 5 hours later.Minimum age for participants is 10 years old. Families with younger children are welcome but only on a private tour basis since we designed a special tour for them. We have bicycles for children from 6 years old and also trailers for smaller children « less

A relaxing 25km cycle on flat road surfaces away from most traffic. You stop at food stalls, a school, rice fields, wats, wood carving, coffin makers!, coffee shop and more! Tour guide was informative also. Including a lunch and it makes the perfect day! More

I chose this the trip as an optional excursion during our group tour of North Thailand. It was a great way to see the countryside. Easy to cycle, countriside, villages, school etc to see and Alex was a knowledgable english speaking guide who told us all about it. Excellent. More

We did a half day tour of about 30K that turned into an almost full day tour since none of us had any plans in the afternoon. Everything was perfect. Great bikes, an interesting ride through villages and fields with stops at farms, temples and a school, a simple but delicious lunch and swimming in the pool at the start/finish... More

If you got 4 hours to spare this is a very pleasant way to spend your time. The guide's English was good, clear and understandable. More

My Wife (Honeymoon) went on a bicycle tour with Alex in Oct 2011. There was only two of us on the ride but judging by what he was saying and the number of bikes he had available there could be as many as 30 when really busy. The bikes were really well maintained and felt safe throughout. Considering Chiang Mai... More

I had high expectations, particularly after having spent a memorable afternoon with a competitor's tour (See Chiang Mai Biking). Basically we just rode around backroads and saw rice fields. Our guide seemed tired and was less than enthusiastic. Perhaps he was having a bad day. Anyway, for value for the money, this did not meet my expectaions. More

I just got a great flavor of the Thai countryside with Chiang Mai Bicycle. Our guide, Alex, was very knowledgeable of the area - we rode to, among other places, a rice paddy field and primary school, where the kids ran up to us and said hello. The terrain is all flat and, though you ride nearly 30km, you definitely... More

The bicycle tour in Chiang Mai is one of the high lights of my holidays in Thailand, it gives an impression of the country life, we visited a school, and workers in the fields. You really should not miss it ! More

I booked with Thailand Treks on short notice (2 days) and they accommodated us very nicely. I like the fact that there tours can be as small as you like, in our case there were 3 of us. The guide was knowledgeable of the areas we drove through and would pull over any time we wanted to take pictures. The... More
