We decided to visit this instead of the big night bazar because of Nancy Chandler's recommendation and we were so glad we did. Things are definitely more expensive then other markets at first, but you have to negotiate always, it's part of the fun. Try to always ask for 40% of whatever is quoted (unless the price is already adjusted)... More

Absolutely loved this place. Stayed in Chiang Mai for 20 nights in 2013 in August. Anunsan marvellous in the wet season as you can almost stay dry. Selection of food awesome as there is everything from stall food to seafood, pub food and an assortment of ethnicities. Bars are great with cheap cocktails and great music. The Bamboo Bar was... Very expensive, crowded and full of foreigners. One of the most overrated places in Chiang Mai. Anusan market is for farangs, not for Thai people.

While I found most of the stalls to be full of your basic tourist crap, there were a few gems out there and the atmosphere of the market is fun. There are a number of bars along the edges of the market to get a drink and listen to live music, there are places to get fish foot massages and... More

Out of the three markets along the road (Night Bazaar, Kalare, Anusarn). Anusarn market was my most favourite. Not as large as I had expected and if you already familiar with Chatuchak Market in Bangkok, the varieties were not as vast as those in Bangkok. But like other reviewers said, the market was full of life, colourful and although it... More

If you are in Chiang Mai and its not a weekend you can still have the night shopping experience at Anusan Market. You can do a whole lot of shopping clothes, bags, accessories, stationaries, toys and what not. There are a couple of stalls with great options of Juices & Icecreams.

These markets are amazing! So colourful and full of life! Markets are filled with sunnies, clothing, traditional knick knacks, bags and plenty of food stalls and restaurants. We went here 2 nights in a row, 1st night it was raining and only about half the stalls were open. However the 2nd night with no rain was a completely different story!... More

This is a night market with lots of shopping and restaurants. You can just about find anything they ever sell in Thailand here. The whole street itself stretching all the way to the Night Bazaar is lined with street stalls, mostly stuff and souvenirs and some, food. The main attraction at the market is seafood. They have some of the... More

Excellent market featuring a mix of handicrafts, mass produced garments and gifts. Entertainment includes late night lady boy show that is really quite family friendly and fun. nice cafes to one side featuring Indian and Lebanese food. Highly recommend Kebab bar, the guys there are very friendly.

its big brash and touristy but on both my visits my wallet came out intact. It's just the usual stuff and once you have seen one such market you have seen them all. Haggling over price seemed limited. Somewhat seedy atmosphere the further from the main drag one got.
