No, this place isn't good at all. The same Chinese rubbish as on the Night Market plus very bad, not at all authentic food. We tried some dishes and everything was terrible. In case you want to have good food, take a tuk-tuk to the northern gate and sample food of the food stalls there. Just look for the local... More

Market stalls selling everything and anything that looks like a souvenir (little else) and surrounded by restaurants its great for a night out. Do a bit of shopping and do a bit of drinking and eating. theres even an Irish Pub. Its a must visit in Chiang Mai. The public restrooms are 3BHT at the river end, I'm not sure... More

This market is located on Chang Klan Road about 1 block south of McDonalds in sidestreet called "Ansuran Market". and forms part of the ‘nightly’ Night Bazaar. I didnt spend a lot of time at this market as I preferred walking along the main street and enjoying the Night Bazaar Market. It was only a 5 minute walk from our... More

This place comes to life in the evenings and offers great choices for the souvenir shopper. The lay-out is less crowded than in some other markets. Vendors are not pushy, in fact most look bored. But they do spring to life if you show interest in their merchandise, and you can bargain. It is also a place where you can... More

It a nice area and the food is decent. Prices have increased and there is less of an arty feel to the crafts on sale - but overall I still like it.

You have a high number of stalls all selling the same goods at fixed prices, which isn't a good sign in a free market economy. Same goes for the street traders outside, makes me wonder who has the monopoly on some of the stalls.

This side market of the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar its a nice place to spend some time in it. From the shopping side, its full of cheap stuff and some overprice artifacts but still is entertaining to walk around the area. Its a big area and you can easily spend 2 hours walking around. There are lots of restaurants around... More

Most of the stalls here are geared towards the tourists. Not many restaurants. The seafood restaurant seemed to be the favorite with many patrons. Anusan is like a huge square with rows of stalls selling all kinds of knick knacks. It's part of the larger nightly market along the main road outside.

When i first visited the Anusan Market many years ago, it consisted of many many small eating places and was filled to overflowing most nights. However, apparently something was not working because over the years, the place has been changed a little each time I visit. On my current visit, the place was almost unrecognizable, with many fewer eating places,... More
