My husband and I booked this trekking trip while in Bangkok much to his dismay. He had the foresight to know that we shouldn't trust a tour until we see the tour guide. The moment we met our " tour guide" we were a bit shocked. He met us at our hotel and proceeded to act spastic and made us... More

My girlfriend and I signed on to the "1 day Mahout & Trek" special combination trip with Jumbo Trekker in Chiang Mai Thailand. Firstly I would like to point out that our tour guide for the day was extremely nice, friendly and did his best to make the most out of a bad situation that we found ourselves in. Now... More

We booked a 3day/2night tour with jumbo trekker "Nina - travel with a smile" Agency. The Agency service was fine and we ended up paying 1600 bath/pax which is average (1300-1800) for these tours. Our trekking group consisted of 10 people. (Max is 14 people) which was appropiate. The trekking guides do not belong to any tour operators but is... More

We were so looking forward to this trip but it was terrible! We paid 2400 baht for 2 people. Picked up in a truck, sat in open back tray squashed up with 10 other people for 1.5hr drive to orchid farm (nice but not relevant to trip) & 'butterfly farm' (pathetic), then another hr to elephant camp. Guide (Sai) spoke... More

First I would like to say that this company clearly does not have the best interest of the Elephants in mind. We hoped to have a great experience but it was awful. They hit them & pulled their ears to try and get them to move and do what they said. They had this small wooden stick that had a... More

I am really surprised to read all these negative comments, since I enjoyed very much my 3 days trekking. As it was soooo unexpensive (less than 30€) we didn't have great expectations. It was such a surprise! The guides spoke little English, but they were really nice and entertaining. In the evening, they would play the guitar and sing around... More

Please do not go on this trek. The treatment of the animals was heartbreaking and horrendous. They kicked their dogs and beat the elephants with a metal hook on the head. One of our guides was openly on opium and drunk. He left halfway through the trek into the woods, and did not show up again until we had been... More

I felt bad for the elephants. My boyfriend actually fell off the elephant we were on, didn't injure himself though and the elephant was fine. The trek was good apart for our leader who was in a rush the whole time for no reason. He didn't tell us about the village we stayed in either. (We did the 3day) Do... More

We took the 2 day tour for the rafting and elephant tour but got a couple of extra unnecessary experiences like a market and flowerfarm. Both extremely uninteresting and not worth your time. The elephant experience was really boring, the river rafting even worse, and the trekking was horribly slow. The good part was jumping off a waterfall, and the... More

Elephants are mistreated here while the keepers laugh and push spiked hooks into their skin. Baby elephant chained up on short chain that was twisted around and cutting into her leg. A trek that only lasted 1 hour rather than the promised 4. A stop off at an orchid farm just to get some extra baht. The guide offered nothing... More
