We booked Basil Cookery mainly because we were looking for a half-day course that could let us the afternoon free to do something else and take advantage of our stay in Chiang Mai, but also because of the good reviews we saw it had in Tripadvisor, and we weren’t at all disappointed!! Boom picked us up in our hostel and... More

We attended this school led by Tom. After an educational trip to the market, we spent the better part of the day learning popular Thai dishes like Phad Thai, Panang Curry, Tom Yum Soup, and more. He was a patient, fun, and effective teacher, and we can't wait to use the skills when we get home. Thank you!

Staff was fantastic and food was absolutely delicious. You get to choose one of three options for each of the 6 courses. You do not need to eat anything for the rest of the day!

I took an evening class with my mom and her friend when they came to visit me in Chiang Mai. I have taken other classes in Chiang Mai and this one is top notch. Tom was a great teacher and very funny! We were picked up right at our hotel and brought to a market to learn about the different... More

Some of the best Thai food we ate in Chiang Mai was the food we cooked at Basil. We had a lot of fun and really enjoyed learning to cook delicious Thai dishes. Thank you to Apple for being a great teacher and making it fun!

We had the evening cooking coarse and got picked up by our hotel by a driver who brought us to the nearest local market where Apple (our teacher) showed us the vegetables and different spices which we were going to use to cook with later. She did this with a lot of humour and vibrance! We then took a songtaew... More

Not only it's been really easy to book a class, even on the very last minute (friday afternoon for saturday morning), but I totally understood why it was so well rated on tripadvisor. The experience was really awesome. I've been lucky enough to share it with very nice people that I met over there and we were only 4, so... More

Amazing! Highly recommend this class. I did the evening class and never thought we'd have enough time to cook the whole menu, but we definitely did! With time to eat and relax in between courses. Come hungry, there's a LOT of food :) Truly a highlight of our trip
