I took 3 cooking classes during my travels in South East Asia, and this was by far the best one. The group was small and intimate, the instructor was friendly and fun and the food...oh my god it was the best I have ever tasted. I got to make 7 dishes and we had clear instructions on how to make... More

I've taken a lot of cooking classes while on travel, however, this one takes the cake for price, instruction, taste, and fun. My wife and I decided to do the evening course. We were picked up from our hotel, and driven straight to the market. Bez, our instructor, was charming and hilarious. She was engaging and energetic. We finished the... More

We spent a day here with Owuan (excuse the spelling) and team learning a few things about Thai cooking. Our instructor was an ex chef now free lance cooking instructor and was excellent. His English was great and his knowledge and experience were shared throughout the day. The day began with a trip to one of the smaller local markets... More

I took a private day class with Tom, and had an absolutely fabulous time. He is a patient and fun teacher, explains ingredients and techniques, and plays great music. :-) He chose a market that was not as crowded as some I had visited, so selecting ingredients was easy and not stressful. There were other schools' class groups there as... More

I really enjoyed my night at this cooking school and found it great value too. The market tour was interesting and the best thing was being able to cook about 6 dishes and get the choice of what we wanted to cook. We could then get to try a wider variety of dishes because my group was happy to share.... More

We choose Basil according to reviews on trip advisor and I have to say, that can not be better cooking lesson. Perfect english. very nice people. And really teach you how to cook, and they let you prepare and cook almost everything. And... the best food we had in Thailand (for month). So I really recommend to go here. Can... More

We did the evening course and had a wonderful experience. We were picked up by "Brandon" and rode in the back of the truck to pick up a few other guests. I believe there were about 8 in our group. We went to the market and were shown some of the items we would be cooking with that evening. We... More

My partner and I enjoyed our cooking class with Basil Cookery School. The trip to the market was interesting as we learnt about the different varieties of ingredients in Thai dishes. The cooking school itself is well equipped but quite small. We were part of a class of 7 and the cooking area was cosy, I was worried at times... More

I wasn't sure about this cooking class that my wife had arrange on the Internet. We were told that they would pick us up at 4PM at our hotel and that is what they did, right on the mark. The two girls, Benz and Nui, spoke perfect English. Our first stop was at the market where they introduced us to... More
