We had Aof as our guide and he was positively delightful! We chose this place for its value against its ethical practices, since we wanted to ensure elephants weren't mistreated. We got to ride on Big Mumma (ask to ride her if you can, as she was the biggest) and it was so much fun! I would love to visit... More

We had a fantastic time at the park. Our guide, Sumit, went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable during our three night stay. The room was incredibly clean, the food was great, and the staff were all extremely fun and friendly. All the guides speak very good English and are well informed. You can feel that these people... Hands-down the best day of our 2 weeks in Thailand. What can I say, the elephants are majestic, beautiful, scary but mostly just cheeky and greedy. The organisers have a great set up and from everything we saw the Mahouts clearly care for the elephants. First you feed the elephants which is great, don't be shy and hand it to... More

Best day ever at the Elephant Park! We advise everybody who is thinking about going there to stay over for a night. We got to see the elephants sleep and bath them again in the morning. Staff and mahouts are very nice for the tourists and elephants. You really get to understand the elephants if you go to this place.... More

Our family of 4 (mum, dad, 8 year old daughter and 6 year old son) recently did a day long course/tour at Baan Chang Elephant Park. We were put in a group of only one other family which made the experience quite intimate. The other family also had a daughter and son of the same ages as ours. So as... More

They gave us clean clothes to wear, so we wouldn't get our clothes dirty. They had drinks and snacks for us, and there was beer for purchase. We got to feed 20-30 elephants bamboo and bananas - so fun! The trainers knew the elephants like their own family members, and so we got to hear about each of their history... More

Baan Chang Elephant Park rescues elephants from other places in Thailand. They seem to try to provide an educational and fun experience for visitors while still maintaining humane treatment for elephants. You do get to ride the elephants, but only bare back. Since my son and I "shared an elephant" (and they are plenty big enough to share!), he rode... More

My friend and I were apprehensive about going to ride elephants, but I am so glad we went! The mahouts seemed to really care for the elephants and we were told they were all rescued from work, cities or the circus. When we arrived, the elephants were chained but we were told that it was so the males didn't fight.... More

The friend I was traveling with was very concerned about the ethical treatment of animals when we looked into our elephant tour, and spent a great deal of time researching the options. She chose Baanchang Elephant Park, and I'm so glad she did! We were picked up promptly for the trip, and spent a memorable day at the park. Feeding... More

The great thing about Baan Chang is that they are completely open and honest about how they run the place and why they do certain things. Our guide, Nai, was very friendly and easy going and answered all our questions. He took great pains to educate us about the realities of rescuing elephants. The great costs involved, the potential danger... More
