I absolutely loved my day at Baanchang - everything ran very smoothly from start to finish. We started off feeding the elephants, and then we learnt the commands to turn left/right etc. before trying out riding them. It was scary but once you were up there, it felt amazing! I got to ride on a baby and larger elephant, I... More

I did a lot of research before I booked - as one of only three elephant parks in Thailand that pass ethical treatment standards, and the only one of those that is run by a local, I chose Baan Chang. I was a little apprehensive when we arrived and the Mahouts were carrying bull-hooks, but after spending the day, it... More

Such a unique experience and a must do if you are visiting Chiang Mai. Our guide was friendly and informative. The well being of the elephants is the top priority and they looked happy! Cant recommend this park enough.

I can't recommend this enough! Definitely the highlight of our trip so far. Importantly this is also a responsible, sustainable park where the welfare of the elephants is paramount. Educational, simply terrific fun and also very good value for money. The day begins with hotel pick up in an A/C minibus. The park is about 45 minutes out of Chiangmai.... More

Baanchang was recommended by our guesthouse and we were very conscious that we wanted to visit somewhere that treated the elephants with the level of respect they deserve. We found the right place. We were collected from our guest house and taken to the park were we got changed and started to feed the elephants. The elephants were all healthy... More

A wonderful experience to get up close with so many elephants. Then to trek on the back of such a gentle giant...Must do experience. Lunch provided as part of cost, plenty to eat and drink. Rated as our top experience while visiting Vietnam, Thailand.

During our 6 days in Chiang Mai we wanted to visit an elephant experience, but with the criteria that the elephants must be cared for very well. As animal lovers we did hours of research before choosing our experience and we finally booked with Baanchang elephant park. We were not disappointed. After being picked up from our hotel in a... We were in Chang Mai for Songkran and didnt have many options left to visit an elephant farm so were happy to get into Baan Chang. We probably would have gone to a more popular, more expensive farm otherwise BUT, we are so glad it worked out this way. We had a simply magical day. Picked up at the hotel,... More

We've spent an amazing day at Baan Chang Elephant Park. The guide and the mahouts were all friendly and very helpful. We have received the impression that the rescued elephants are very well looked after and that everyone is passioned about the project. Our 4 year old son liked the best bathing and splashing with the elephants.
