Aof, our guide, was friendly and excited from the minute he picked us up from our hotel! He was very knowledgeable and honest with how they treat their elephants. Baanchang truly treat the elephants with respect as a family member. We did the half day excursion which included lunch. They accommodated for vegetarians. The showers were cleaner than expected and... More

The elephants are bought in from logging having had a lot of mistreatment including being fed amphetamines so that they can work longer hours. There are no seats on the animals as these can create sores so you learn to ride bareback sitting on the neck, At the end you enter the water with them and give them a good... More

Amazing place, and definitely worth a visit. Was picked up on time and van was comfortable and got to spend the day feeding, riding, and playing with the elephants. The guides seemed genuinely excited about their jobs and it was a great experience. The lunch provided was also really good.

Baanchaang Elephant Park fulfilled all of my expectations. It was the most magical day of my life. We got collected from our hostel early in the morning and we were brought to the park on a bus. The guide was so friendly and he really cared about the elephants. Upon arrival you are given a Mahoot trainers outfit and you... More

A otherwise excellent day was spoiled for us by the quality of the van which picked us up and returned us to our home (we actually live in Chiang Mai). The aircon was only working intermittently and then only put out marginal cool air. It also took almost 2 hours from the time we were picked up until we reached... More

Baanchang Elephant Park was a great day out for my wife and I. Our guide Best was very entertaining and very informative about all things elephant. You arrive to be told how to feed the elephants for which you proceed to do for about an hour. Then you are taught how to mount an elephant and basic commands such as... More

We visited 4 areas of Thailand on our 2 week trip and the day experience to Baan Chang Elephant park was our favourite of the lot. What an incredible experience from start to finish. There are a couple of nerves when you first get to approach the elephants to feed them and pet them but by the end of the... More

We were highly anticipating the trip to this park, as it was the only reason we had travelled to Chiang Mai. Did it live up to expectations? An overwhelming yes!! it made the stay in our mosquito filled, noisy hotel - all worthwhile. Our guide, Woody, picked us up on time - and from there on the day went so... More

Thank you Woody for an fantastic day with the elephants. I was a littlw hesitant with booking because I heard so much about aninal cruelty and didn't want to support such thing, but your park is an exception. I booked a one day trip and got picked up punctual at 8.15 at my hostel and after and hour drive we... More

Was there for 1 day with the elephants. The price you pay will be worth it for the elephants. The elephants were mainly rescued or bought over by the owner of baan chang. Here at the camp, elephants were rehabilitated. Instead of being abuse by previous owners to slog in the forest logging, they spend most of their time entertaining... More
