Well worth a visit even if you're not planning to buy anything. The stoneware is beautifully made and the handpainting is unbelievable. The ability to visit the factory next door is a nice touch and it was amazing to be able to watch true crafsmanship at work! The staff in the showroom were friendly and helpful without being overbearing or... More

Celadon pottery is basically either green or blue stoneware. There are unglazed versions too. Complete dinner sets, and all manner of ornament, vase, trinket box, lamp, some with detailed painting. Very good value.

I stopped by this shop along my route of many handicraft shops. I found this place to be one of the best. The products are quite expensive, but the quality is very good. The employees are nice and offered me and my friend some lemongrass tea. I did browsing the first time I went to the shop and then made... More

Highly recommended for ceramic enthusiasts and Celadon in particular. This factory produces high quality products - primarily with traditional hand carved design and painted techniques. Beautiful work. The prices reflect the quality of product produced in this shop, but are still well below pricing of similar quality Thai celadon in Bangkok and other parts if the world.

We went there on Sunday and the factory was closed! We went back after few days and really enjoyed the workers handicraft! They really put a lot of effort and passion to create this true masterpiece which I must say " a truly beautiful creation" from the heart!! Well done all the great creative people there!!

You firstly go into a small demo factory as see them make the wares. Then you go into another showroom and you see the ladies actually hand painting on FREEHAND the designs and etching out the carvings. Amazing attention to detail and these ladies were so talented. I know why they charge so much now as it is all hand... More

With the small baggage allowance and exorbitant excess baggage fees collected by the airlines, you become more aware of how much you carry with you. Baan Celadon pieces are worth all the extra weight, believe me. Beautiful hand-crafted pieces from dinnerware to vases and jars. And they pack it so well. Every visit I make to Chiang Mai, I make... I have always wanted good celadon, and I got it. Loved the workshop and showroom at Baan. The showroom has fixed prices, and carries both heirloom and everyday celadon. No pressure to buy, and an area for tired kids/husband to sit while I shopped. I bought a 5-cup pitcher, small tray, and 6 small cups for 3900 THB. Love them!... More

Really nice and lovely ceramics shop. We were greeted with a nice cup of lemongrass tea and after that went wandering around the store. They have some really nice pieces - both old style and new. And it's not expensive compared to what we're used too (when you think about the work that's put into it - it's the real... More
