After going to Thailand many times in past 20 years(maybe 35-50 trips on business) I always thing of Baan celadon for the excellent quality and interesting designs.. I believe that I have over 50 pieces in my home, and have given the hand painted items and the elephant plates or serving pieces with elephants to friends and business associates and... More

If you are at all interested in Thai crafts and interior decorations, you must visit this lovely showroom and factory. The day we went we could see the whole factory area abuzz with workers doing various tasks. Most amazing were the women doing the extremely delicate and intricate painting of complex designs. Very friendly, not pressured to buy, good service,... More

Initially greeted with lemongrass tea which, more a double espresso regular, was surprisingly a pure delight. Left with multiple purchases (some to be shipped home) the service was relaxed yet efficient. We opted to skip the tour- we personally find those tedious.

I really enjoyed so much going to Baan Celadon in Chiang Mai. They had someone guiding us through each step which was fantastic! You get to see people work on the wheel to finished product. The most amazing part was seeing someone doing the fine paintwork required for large vases. It was crazy to see the intricacies of this workmanship.... More

The quality is just worlds away from anything else we saw. We had everything shipped from the store, nothing was broken, the packing was extremely well done. It took almost 3 months to get here as it comes by boat, but be patient. Also the tracking only works in Thailand, however just wait, it will arrive.

At Baan Celadon you can see the various stages of ceramic making from molding the clay, painting the intricate patterns, viewing the finished products and everything in between. It was a neat experience. The finished ceramics were a bit expensive (in Thai standards) but still inexpensive compared to what they would sell for in the States. Each piece is handmade... More

If you admire Celadon pottery and are fond of its pale green color, this place has some of the highest quality and best selection that I have found in Thailand. The showroom and the factory are on site and they are very experienced and competent at shipping. I have visited here several times, each time making larger purchases because of... More

To be swift and concise: to see this Celadon outlet and very nice and good fun, you can see the craftsmen at work and have ample opportunity to shop afterwards, however: please note that once you finish, second quality items are for sale outside. If your budget doesn't stretch the first quality, you can surely enjoy looking for some items... More

This is my second visit there and I am always left in awe of the beautiful decorations. Service is great and do so appreciate the cold drinks given on arrival. Great variety of wares and well displayed.

Located just outside town Baan Celadon is well worth a visit for anyone that appreciates good pottery. We bought some really good quality bowls.
