Yesterday we took the day cooking class, a small intimate group cooked up five delicacies each, and learned the basics of cooking! The course was great, the instructor spoke English well, the cooking was flexible with ingredients, ( we are not big fans of fish sauce) so we're able to use an acceptable alternative. Most importantly, the food was amazing!... More

We had wanted to experience a Thai cooking class and had heard that Chiang Mai was the best place to do it. I cannot stress enough how very true this was! We booked through our guest house and were lucky enough to have the very lovely, knowledgable and FUNNY, Palm as our instructor. We were also lucky in that there... More

Don't have a bad word to say about this experience. Guide was brilliant, group size was good (8 people) and so much good food! It's not even just for those who can cook or love cooking, we had an elderly Canadian guy in our group with his wife, didn't have a clue but loved every second of it and made... More

such a great experience! We were picked up from our hotel by Palm (our instructor) who took us to the market to teach us about all of the ingredients we would be using later on. We then met the rest of the group and got the train to the countryside where we got our bikes and rode to the school.... More

We booked the full day cooking class from our hotel and met Palm, our chef and instructor, at the market where we checked out Thai herbs and spices before travelling by train then bicycle to our destination at the organic farm. There was a group of nine and we each chose five dishes we wished to make as well as... More

It was a rainy day in Chiang Mai so our activities were limited for the day. We decided last minute to sign up for the Smart Cook cooking lesson and we are SO happy we did. From the minute we walked in we felt very welcome and had an awesome experience from start to finish with Palm. He was smart,... More

Our group of four ended up doing the full day cooking class with smart cook after booking with another company and being changed to smart cook by the organisers (supposedly same family owns both cooking schools). Although it was not exactly what I had booked it was an enjoyable day. We liked that we could choose what dishes we made... More
