My girlfriend and I did an afternoon course here as we didn't want a full day cooking. We were first brought to a great food market, but not for too long, and we were shown all the ingredients that Thai people mainly use in their dishes. At the Cook school we met our head chef, Palm! Very nice, funny guy... More

We had an awesome day, starting in the morning with a bit of checking out the market, where Palm, the cook, was telling us about the ingredients we would use later in class. Then we hopped on a train to get outside the city to the village, where the cooking-school was situated. Palm showed us in a fun way, how... More

A great day to spend the day in chiang Mai! Nice location and a great teacher: Pear is fun and very professional. Inspired us to try some of the things we learned when we got home.

We had a really nice experience, Pear is a really talented cook and fantastic teacher. The course to the farm is well worth it, is a nice day trip and the food is fantastic, do not worry about having to choose a dish to learn, you will receive a recipe book and the end with all the dishes. Big plus... More

My husband and I took this course as one of our activities in Chiangmai. We chose the right 'class'. Teacher, Ms. Pear has a great sense of humour, skillful and brought our class to live. WE met great people in our class and have been cooking a few dishes since we returned to Singapore. We were hoping, Ms. Pear got... More

Me and my friend went travelling around South East Asia in Aug 2014. One of our stops was in Chiang Mai. We had been recommended a Thai cooking class by many people who had been Thailand before. Chiang Mai felt like the perfect place to do it, being one of the more authentic places to do it. There were many... More

We did the half day cooking class and had a great time. Our instructor Pear was very knowledgeable, friendly, and hilarious. Her English was excellent. She first took us to the market and showed us all the ingredients we would be using and pointed out some interesting produce we had never seen before. The food we cooked was delicious, and... More

We had a wonderful time with Smart Cook! We chose the full day farm option, which included a trip to the market, a train ride, biking the country side, and cooking 6 delicious dishes of our choosing. Our teacher was Pear and she was absolutely amazing. She was hilarious and instantly made us feel at home on the farm. Pear's... More
