On a typical day our lessons begin with a trip to a local country market, guided by our experienced cooking instructors so that students learn how to select and buy the fresh Thai ingredients that they will need for that day's cooking lesson. For many, this tour of the morning market is an unforgettable experience in itself, leaving them with lasting memories of new sights, sounds and wonderful spicy aromas, as well as a broader knowledge of Thai fruits, vegetables and spices. This experience and new knowledge is especially useful to those who want to impress their friends back home with delicious Thai cuisine. Returning to the delightful semi-rural setting of the cookery school itself, our instructors take students through every stage of the cooking process, until at the end of the session students have the opportunity to taste and eat their creations. Our students learn by doing, not merely watching, so each course is full of activity and fun. « less

My husband and I loved this cooking class and the whole experience...going to the local market to learn about the different foods, talking to the teacher and her family, having our own cooking stations to learn how to cook several different dishes and enjoying dinner on their relaxing patio. Would highly recommend to anyone!

We went as a group of five, wasn't sure what to expect, however I participated in the best experience I could have imagined. The girls really know how to pass on their skills and knowledge. We started at the markets and before long we were cooking some of the tastiest food I have ever eaten. This is a must do... More

I will not repeat what everyone's have shared in their reviews as I am sure we all experienced the best, excellent and even perfect times with Pom and Tak during the cooking course. All I can say is thank you so very much to have shared your knowledge and passion on cooking Thai food with me. And also accommodating "my... More

..........and now I am addicted. I highly recommend Cooking@Home as a place to learn Thai food while you are visiting ChangMai. Pom was excellent as a teacher. Her English is very good and she has so much enthusiasm for her food. We had a great two days enjoying Pom and her sister Tak's company. They were not just lessons they... More

My friends and I had a brilliant time at Cooking at Home Thai Culinary School - it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Chiang Mai. Pom and her sister, Tak, were really helpful, friendly and flexible. I'm vegetarian so they made sure I had tasty alternative ingredients to make the same dishes as the other students.... More

When we first enrolled for an afternoon cooking class and spoke with Pom (chef and operator of the cooking school), she was asking whether we would like to enrol in the morning class. As the dishes weren't the ones we like to learn, I told her that we really would prefer the afternoon class. Not knowing that there weren't any... More

My daughter (who is taking a Gap Year before college) and I enjoyed a fantastic experience with Pom and her sister Tak three weeks ago. Every part of of our visit to Chiang Mai was incredible, but this class was absolutely a highlight. These delightful sisters run a wonderful Thai cooking class from start to finish. I chose Pom's school... More

The warmest hospitality I felt in the whole country. Pom has a background in hotel management so knows what she's dong there. The market tour was fabulous, the garden and kitchen facility were fabulous, the food was amazing and beautiful. But the real gift here is Pom's natural love of people and her desire to make sure everyone is thrilled... More

Had a fun day cooking with Pom and her sister today. There was supposed to be another couple that joined me but it turned out the rescheduled to the next day but Pom was nice enough to give me a private lesson. I really enjoyed everything from learning about ingredients at the market to making authentic thai green curry and... More

My husband and I booked the Sunday class which we attended today. We had an amazing trip to a local market and lots of fun preparing various recipes with Pom including my husbands favourite, chicken satay! Pom's class was fun, informative and intimate due to the size of our class which was exactly what we were looking for. I know... More
