Each day, our students are picked up from Chiang Mai and driven to the cookery school. On a typical day our lessons begin with a trip to a local country market, guided by our experienced cooking instructors so that students learn how to select and buy the fresh Thai ingredients that they will need for that day's cooking lesson. For many, this tour of the morning market is an unforgettable experience in itself, leaving them with lasting memories of new sights, sounds and wonderful spicy aromas, as well as a broader knowledge of Thai fruits, vegetables and spices. This experience and new knowledge is especially useful to those who want to impress their friends back home with delicious Thai cuisine. Returning to the delightful semi-rural setting of the cookery school itself, our instructors take students through every stage of the cooking process, until at the end of the session students have the opportunity to taste and eat their creations. Our students learn by doing, not merely watching, so each course is full of activity and fun.

We started with a trip to the market . Learned about how coconut milk is made. So different types of rice and learned about many varieties of vegetables and fruits I was not familiar with. Then off to Pom cooking school. It is an open air school with individual work stations. We learned how to make four Thai dishes and... More

Pom was truly amazing. I spent two weeks in Thailand and she was probably the best part of our whole trip! She not not only teaches you how to cook a large array of Thai dishes; she also takes you to a local market beforehand and teaches you all about the produce and different Thai products. It was so interesting... More

I loved Pom and loved loved LOVED my time with her. I thought the kitchen and the lesson was set up beautifully and the cookbook to take home made a perfect souvenir for my time. I would totally come back next time I'm in the area :)

My wife and I spent a half day with Pom and this was easily one of the highlights from our honeymoon trip across Thailand. Starting at the market is a great way to kick off the day and learn about the ingredients in Thai cooking. When we arrived at Pom's house we were immediately wowed. Her kitchen set-up is perfect... Pom runs one of the best cooking schools in Thailand. I went with a group of 5 friends and we had a wonderful day. I am a total foodie and I have been traveling in Thailand annually for 10 years now. I have taken cooking classes around Thailand and Laos and this is certainly the best.. With 15 years experience... More

My wife and I travel a lot and cooking is a hobby we both enjoy so we try cooking classes often. We spent a day with Pom and will rave about her forever. This was by far the best Thai cooking instruction we have ever recieved....and ranks at or near the top regardless of style of cuisine. Pom has a... More

We'd love to eat Thai food in Germany, but don't want to rely on take-aways and ready-made curry-paste.. Pao (sorry if I misspell your name!!) was a lovely host. She managed to book us in the same morning for an evening class.. She picked us up form the hotel and took us food shopping at a local, authentic food market... More

We spent the day at this cookery school as part of our Exodus tour. First we were taken to the market to view the different kinds of ingredients, then we arrived at the school which is an extension of Pom's house in a lovely setting overlooking rice fields. We each had our individual work station and all the ingredients were... More

I went to this cooking class with my tour group. There was a mix of ages, tastes and experience and Pom catered for us all. Would definitely recommend.

We met Pom today and we had really great cooking experience! She took us to a small market explaining us all the famous thai veggies and fruits used in Thai cooking, great explanation about sticky rice and how to make it healthy way! The class was at her home outside Chiangmai, so peacefull and calm! We cooked 4 meal dishes,... More
