The staff at our hotel was not sure where the Healing Family Foundation (HFF) was located, but a quick call to the HFF phone number on their website cleared it up. (See our “tip,”below, on how to locate the Foundation.) While we did not get the impression that reservations were required, it seems that a call-ahead is appreciated. I know... More

Today I was having a bad day so decided to stroll around Chiang Mai and happened to come across Healing Family Foundation, what a wonderful organization that is totally run by families of persons with disabilities. The gentlemen that started the Foundation has a son with a disability and wanted him to be a contributing member of society and that... More

We read about the healing family foundation on trip advisor and despite it being on the other side of town we decided to take 2 tuk tuks and check it out. We were so glad we did- we got to meet the lovely people who work there and talk to them about what they do. We got to watch scarves... More

If you're looking for some great souvenirs, that aren't only handmade but also made with heart, then I suggest you visit the Healing Family Foundation. I learned about the organization on Trip Advisor, and when I found out it was just a block from our hotel, I figured there wasn't much of a cost to stop by. We ended up... More

I came here after seeing such great reviews on Trip Advisor. I am so glad I did. :) We were greeted by the fellow who runs the place. He introduced us to his son (who is autistic and was busy weaving fabric). He was really sweet and wanted to educate us on autism. My brother has Down's Syndrome so I... More

Was there on 4th Nov,2013 with my family. The gentleman who looks like the man running the place explained and showed us around. People are friendly and the goods look of good quality. We loved what they are doing for themselves and bought 7 Tee-shirts as Christmas presents and a few nicknacks..

Only round the corner from where we were staying so decided to go and visit as I work with disabilities back in the UK. Lovely welcoming people. They explained why it was set up and shown us round. They even let our 11 year old have a go at weaving, which she loved. Bought 3 top quality tshirts and a... More

When in Chiang Mai please take the time to visit this welcoming organisation. Run entirely by the parents with no government assistance this has to be the most humbling place I have been to in all my visits to Thailand. All there are the most friendly and welcoming group, and are only to pleased to talk about the project and... More

We, as a family of 4, travelling with another family of 4, were greeted with the biggest smiles of smiles & warmest of welcomes. The people here have various disabilities & are supported by the most beautifully natured volunteers. They are encouraged to try various crafts & sell their crafts at ridiculously low cost. This is a place that doesn't... More

We visited the Healing Family Foundation earlier this week, and were so impressed with the huge smiles and warm welcome we received from everyone there. We saw the artists at work, and the items they had made which you can buy, and therefore support the Foundation. The artists (not disabled people) all seem very happy and we loved that they... More
