I decided to come here after reading about it on trip advisor. It took us for-ever to find (bringing three children along for the walk) but I am really glad we persisted. We were greeted with open arms, hearts and the widest smiles I've seen. The kids were given a quick demo on how to use the loom and then... More

As a group from Melbourne we were so warmly welcomed by a foundation senior. His foresight and inspiration were a credit to the whole meaning of this enterprise. Everyone had the biggest smile and loved dancing with and for us, as well as watching their weaving expertise. It was fun but also a serious business giving those who worked there... More

As a group we had a wonderful experience. The proud father who started the foundation, spoke about the centre, we watched a small presentation, while being shown their weaving. Dancing followed, along with huge smiles, we then made some beautifully designed purchases. It's so important to see people having a purpose in life. It's just what we all need. Fantastic... More

Spotted this place totally by accident and was pleasantly surprised by lovely designs (tshirts, postcards, etc). Stop by, say hello to people who are working inside, weaving and stitching - they will be very happy to see you and gladly show their trade. And buy a few things to help a great cause - The Healing Family Foundation for people... More

Huge Thank's to everyone involved at the Healing Family Foundation for a delightful morning! Great weavers and Ting; an exceptional good dancer. You sure put a Big grin on our faces! A special thanks goes out to the donated Japanese weaving looms, especially designed for persons with physical challenges. ..No money can buy the heart warming feeling encountered during this... We feel so fortunate to have stopped in the Healing Hand Foundation. We met all the friendly people who work there. The Foundation employs people with intellectual disabilities. They weave cloth that is made into handbags, cute cards, adorable t-shirts and other cute souvenirs. Everyone there was super sweet and friendly, we didn't want to leave. It definitely was a... More

After reading about the Healing Family Foundation on tripadvisor, we thought that would be a nice place to visit but wasn't too sure where it was. After finding out it was right by our hotel (Sala Lanna) we went and visited. We were welcomed with big smiles, hugs and even dancing! Everyone showed us what they were working on (creating)... More

It's a great place because you get to see autism kids and adults in action...sewing the fabric. I really hope more people can drop by to support their work as they are self-funded. The bags, t-shirts, bookmarks, etc. are all lovely done and each design is unique.

The staff at our hotel was not sure where the Healing Family Foundation (HFF) was located, but a quick call to the HFF phone number on their website cleared it up. (See our “tip,”below, on how to locate the Foundation.) While we did not get the impression that reservations were required, it seems that a call-ahead is appreciated. I know... More

Today I was having a bad day so decided to stroll around Chiang Mai and happened to come across Healing Family Foundation, what a wonderful organization that is totally run by families of persons with disabilities. The gentlemen that started the Foundation has a son with a disability and wanted him to be a contributing member of society and that... More
