The school was started by three friends who have the same dream of sharing their love of Thai cooking with those who desire to learn how to cook delicious Thai food but also to experience the culture and poetry of Thai cuisine. « less

Absolutely loved my course at Thai Orchid Cookery School! The very clear instructions, personal supervision while you cook, clean and organized layout of the kitchen(s), and neatly presented cookbook made for a fantastic experience. I was also delighted with the incredibly informative market tour--I had one elsewhere in Thailand that was nowhere near as interesting. She really knows her stuff!... More

We loved the personal tough we had with the staff. We only had 5 people in our group for the day, which made it very personal. Everything within the class was fresh and clean. We also had an enjoyable and well explained trip to a local market. Would recommend this trip to every one !! More

My husband and I loved our class. The class is supposed to cap off at 12 people, and we ended up being the only two that day. Prior to this class, I wasn't enjoying Thai food. I loved the food we made in class. We made spring rolls, a couple of curry dishes, steamed bananas, and they also served fruits,... More

Excellent. The sister brother team who run this school were excellent - collecting us from our guest house in the morning (it is very centrally located so only a short travel time) and leading us through a great introduction to Thai cooking. We were looking for somewhere smaller and more personable than some of the larger more commercialised schools and... More

My boyfriend and I booked a morning class and turned out to be the only two people on the course that morning which was a bonus! The kitchen studio is very professional and they take you through each part of the cooking process step by step. They also give good tips for substituting some ingredients you may not find at... The school is run by a brother and sister team who both speak excellent English. Their home is the school and they have it really well set up for teaching. There are two cooking stations and a demonstration station. Everything is sparkling clean and perfectly organized. The dished were fun to prepare and the trip to the market was enjoyable... More

Took a cooking class here a few weeks ago with my wife on our honeymoon. It was us and one other random couple (though the business is clearly set up to handle larger groups - we just got lucky with a small group). I say random because we didn't know the other couple beforehand, but we actually got along great... More

Loved the couple. Their home/school had a cozy but crisply professional style. The instructions and presentation were so clear; our trip to the market with the woman chef was low-key but always informative. Now back in the US, I have tried to use their cookbook, in conjunction with David Thomson's Thai Food bible and they are a good complement, often... More
